For the first time since independence, there has been an equal struggle to find a job and not to lose the job. A surprising finding in the What Worries the World report is that despite the many grueling questions and the dangerously scattered chess playing of politicians, seventy percent of people believe that India is currently moving in the right direction. That is, the way the country is run and the events taking shape in public life is right and only through that process India will reach new heights. The employment figures from the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy keep coming in, which even the central government cannot deny.

Since June 2017, the unemployment rate has been increasing continuously. The unemployment rate fell slightly in October 2019. Even so, the unemployment rate had reached a high rate of 8.45 percent. The Center and the state are completely silent on the increase in unemployment due to Corona. As if they don't know anything. Moreover, as time changes, fashion changes, so does the flow of employment. Labor employment has declined in the last four years. Because young people are losing interest in doing jobs that involve physical labor. Otherwise employment in that sector is sufficient. The number of young people who want white collar jobs is increasing but like Digital India, the current government has failed to fulfill that promise. Goa, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi have the highest unemployment rates. While Pondicherry, Meghalaya, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh have the lowest unemployment rate.

Unemployment in the country is so much that at first glance it seems that what is urban and what is rural? But recent new research and surveys show that urban unemployment is increasing rapidly. Urban lifestyle is such that people are not frugal beyond a certain extent. Because unavoidable costs are very high. Today it is realized how simple was the lifestyle of the ancient Gujarati traders who traded profit of crores and more. Booms and depressions are the cycle of the market and it goes on and on. The older generations were always free from all pomp only to be careful that it does not affect their lives. Corona period is going on, no one knew that there will be such a sub-period of Kalikal. Now is the time for the job-seeking youth to think about their financial life afresh.

A report titled What Worries the World says that Indian urban citizens are starting to see unemployment as the biggest problem. Their faith in academic activity and universities has completely disappeared. Urban people have learned the secret that no matter how much education you complete and how much academic effort you put in, eventually you have to get a job not based on your studies but on your own different strengths. This different strength means the readiness to take on any task from the bottom line. It is also not that there is no work in the market. More than fifty countries in the world have been seriously affected by unemployment. The condition of the Indian economy is dire. But the unemployment situation is even more miserable. One can pray for the Indian economy but there is no other option but to pity the employment situation.
