Friend, don't be a friend.

The relationship between humans and dogs is often a friendly one, but recently there has been an increase in cases of dog attacks and rabies, naturally raising concerns. A few years ago, some small children were mauled by dogs in Delhi's Jamia area. After that, such news kept coming from different parts of the country. Some videos of tragic deaths due to rabies have also been circulating. Recently, a mother was attacked by a dog while carrying her two-year-old child in her lap in Delhi. Somehow he saved the baby, but another dog attacked him, injuring both the mother and the baby. Even in Gujarat, news about dog bites is flowing almost every day.

The question is who will take the responsibility of protecting people from stray dogs. Many studies have shown that aggression in dogs is on the rise and they are now attacking humans more often. Children are especially vulnerable to their attacks. In such a situation, these coincidences have become more alarming. To protect them from dog attacks, a law was made that the government would sterilize them, so that they could not reproduce. They will be vaccinated so that they do not get rabies if they are bitten, but there is only laxity in this matter. In metropolitan cities, when a complaint is made, a dog-catch vehicle arrives, but the dogs flee on sight and are neither vaccinated against rabies nor sterilized.

Because of this, their numbers remain difficult to control. However, many common people also do not understand their civic responsibility in this regard. Out of love for dogs they keep feeding them etc., many people are also seen opposing their sterilization etc. Some organizations provide protection to stray dogs under the Cruelty to Animals Act. Human sympathy for a dog is a good thing, but if it makes it difficult for people to walk and its bites pose a danger to someone, then it cannot be said to be right at all. In many other countries, stray dogs do not have this problem, as they are routinely vaccinated. Even if they bite under certain circumstances, there is no risk of rabies.

However, even pet dogs sometimes pose a danger to people. Many owners carelessly take their dogs outside and leave them unattended, and they attack someone. Many such cases have come to light when neighbors have fought over dogs and even killed a neighbor over dogs. In cities like Delhi, Mumbai etc., the government had to make rules that those who keep certain breeds of dogs have to register them. Domesticated dogs can be monitored this way, but who will be responsible for monitoring unvaccinated aggressive stray dogs? According to the law, the municipalities should conduct special campaigns for this from time to time. When will they realize their responsibility for civil defence?

Around us we see many people who are very afraid of dogs or there are some people who are often bitten by dogs. Now astrologers have also fallen in this disaster. According to Indian astrology, like the owl and the pigeon, the dog is considered to be the emissary of Yamaraj and considered inauspicious. They also say that there are certain coincidences in the horoscope that cause a person to be bitten by a dog many times! According to astrology the position of navagraha in each person's horoscope determines which planet the person is afflicted with, in such a situation if Rahu, Shani and Ketu are in malefic positions in the birth chart, there is a possibility of harm. When Ketu is debilitated in the 6th, 8th and 12th houses in a person's horoscope, a dog can attack. However, in passing on this knowledge to those who have been bitten by dogs, it is more likely that they will attack you themselves.
