Using chatgpt for exam cheating, a dangerous prospect

Due to the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), there are predictions that people will lose their jobs and people will become largely unemployed in the future. Technocrats who are called giants of the world have already given this warning after AI-based ChatGPT came, but no one has yet said that crime will accelerate due to AI.

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) paper leak scam in Telangana revealed that AI has been used in the paper leak scam, revealing yet another serious threat to the world in the rise of crime due to AI. The accused named Pula Ramesh, who was arrested in this case, has admitted to using ChatGPT to write correct answers to seven youths sitting for the exam. In fact, Ramesh himself knows how many examinees he may have written the answers to but due to this incident it has been proved that unimaginable crimes can be committed using ChatGPT.

Pula Ramesh is 35 years old and a divisional engineer at Peddapally in Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited, a Telangana government company. TSPSC had earlier this year conducted the Assistant Executive Engineer and Divisional Accounts Officer exam in Govt. Ramesh blasted the principal of an exam center. At the same time, Bluetooth micro earpieces were also given to the examinees who had to write the answers. If the Bluetooth micro earpiece is inserted into the ear, there are very small details that the supervisor will not even see. Within ten minutes of giving the paper to the examinees, the principal took a photo of the paper and sent it to Ramesh. Ramesh sat with four assistants. After taking a printout of the paper, all the four assistants were assigned to find the answers to the questions. All the four assistants were ready players so they started quickly searching for answers using ChatGPT and Ramesh started writing the answers to his idols who were giving the exam, and he got over it.

A Special Investigation Team was formed to probe the TSPSC paper leak scam after it came to light in March. The team's investigation revealed that Ramesh received a total of three exam papers, but in two of them, he wrote the answers using ChatGPT, while in one exam paper, he was double-sold. Ramesh has made cash of Rs 10 crore by selling papers for Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh to about 30 examinees, while he has taken Rs 30-30 lakh from each examinee for writing answers using ChatGPT.

In India, a tax of a few rupees means that all the papers from peon to principal are photographed and sent out, so it is very easy to make the examination a farce and pass the unqualified people. Due to this, it is not difficult to imagine what kind of people will pass the exam and what kind of people will get government jobs in the future. In short, instead of talent, those who steal will get lost and once they pay money and get a government job, they will forever be the son-in-law of the government. The whole system of examination will collapse and talent will have no meaning.

This explosion in TSPSC paper leak is shocking but actually this is just a trailer. Technology penetration in India is still not that much. In the so-called developed countries of the world, due to AI, people's jobs are starting to go and many other things are starting to happen. AI is still in its infancy in India, so it has started with crimes like writing questions to students in exams, but if not warned, other serious crimes can be committed in the future.

Researchers have already warned that many other serious crimes can be committed using AI, including ChatGPT. Bigger crimes can be committed by creating a fake voice of a person using AI. In the language of technology it is called Deepfax. A long list of crimes can be made by creating a fake voice or video of a person in power with the help of deepfax. From copying someone's voice to transferring crores of rupees to inciting people, black businesses can be done.

There is no doubt that AI technology is revolutionary but it is also a reality that its disadvantages are greater than other technologies. It is not wrong if this technology is used for the good of the people, but it is wrong if it is done like Telangana, so it is fun to warn from now on. It is far-sighted to build a nest before water to prevent abuse of AI.

Deepfax and fake news are at the top of these crimes, but the bigger threat is driverless vehicles. AI-powered driverless cars can be used to carry out major terrorist attacks. Crimes including blackmailing on a large scale will also increase. Apart from this, misuse of military robots, snake oil, data poisoning, cyber attacks, drone attacks etc. activities will also increase. There will also be a large-scale disturbance in the stock market or banks.

The researchers believe that if these crimes are to be prevented, the use of AI should be avoided. Big technocrats believe that when the existing technology is enough to keep mankind happy, there is no need to create a mess of additional technology.
