Annakoot season is observed. Now Annakoot is not seen only till Devdiwali. Annakoot is also organized during religious festivals. Annakoots were organized in temples associated with all the Krishna temples, Vaishnava Samaj temples, each branch of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya etc.

Competition is also seen as to which temple's annakoot is the grandest. Leela Aparampara is Lord Krishna who saved the people from the wrath of Indra by raising Govardhan mountain and sheltering the villagers under it. Fifty-six offerings were offered to express their gratitude, called Annakoot.

Worship of Mount Govardhan is in fact worship of nature. The importance of Govardhan Puja was not explained to the new generation by the old generation and the Saints, so in the new year, Annakoot darshan is traditionally held and people are satisfied with Prasad Arogy. According to legend, Jashoda Maiya used to feed her son eight times a day. So there were 56 (7th8-56) bhogas.

Annakoot is marketed as it can be given to people as prasad. A closer look at the planning of Annakoot will reveal that it increases and strengthens connections. Big temples have dedicated media networks. They spread propaganda during temple festivals and religious addresses etc. Swaminarayan Sampradaya has succeeded in building a media network. In short, for the development of temples, their propagation is necessary.

The sentiments of the devotees are hurt by the prasad received with such money. But now each temples Annakoot prasad is delivered to the city leaders and political leaders who help in the development of the temple.

A special Annakoot program is kept in big temples. In which Aarti-Pooja etc. is organized through hosts. At the town level as well as in the society areas of big cities, food is offered to the Lord during Ganapati Mohotsav and then the members of the society sit in a circle and feed him. In which one dish is ordered from each house. When the devotees eat the Prasad together, the sense of unity increases in them.

Simple Annakoots are held in societies and temples in flats. In which everyone brings some dish from their home according to their will power. Aarti is performed by arranging all the dishes before the Lord and then they are distributed.

A special food budget is kept in temples. The festival of Annakoot teaches that those who do our work and give new life should be satisfied by having prasad like Annakoot. Religious spirit needs to be learned from every festival. We have not been able to emphasize the special importance of nature worship. Mountain, river, bosom, air etc. stand at the base of nature. His worship is similar to the worship of Govardhan. Those who cut trees or pollute rivers need to understand the meaning of Govardhan Puja.
