Rahul wants a big bungalow like seniors

New Delhi: After Rahul Gandhi refused to move to the bungalow at 12 Tughlaq Lane, the Housing Committee of the Lok Sabha has given Rahul Gandhi the option of two more new bungalows. Rahul is asked to choose between two bungalows, 7, Safdarganj and 3, South Avenue. Rahul has visited both bungalows with sister Priyanka but has not decided anything. Rahul's security team has also inspected. Since Rahul has Z Plus security, his opinion is extremely important.

Congress sources say that Rahul Gandhi wants a type 8 bungalow while the Tughlaq Lane bungalow is a type 7. Both Type 7 and Type 8 bungalows are spread over one and a half acres, but Type 8 bungalows have 5 bedrooms while Type 7 has 4 bedrooms. Type 8 bungalows at Ashok Road, Lodhi Estate, Kushak Road, Canning Lane are allotted to senior parliamentarians, so Rahul wants such a bungalow.

High command orders Sunny not to contest elections

BJP MP from Punjab's Gurdaspur Sunny Deol has announced that he will not contest the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Sunny Deol announced that he will now concentrate on acting and stay away from politics. Earlier, Sunny Deol's father Dharmendra had also stayed away from politics after being elected to the Lok Sabha once on a BJP ticket from Rajasthan.

BJP sources claim that BJP may field Punjab state president Sunil Jakhar or his nephew Sandeep Jakhar from this seat. Jakhar lost to Sunny in 2019 Lok Sabha elections but before that he won in 2017 by-elections.

It was the BJP leaders who complained that Sunny Deol was not paying attention to his constituency after becoming an MP. Following this, the BJP high command is said to have forced Sunny Deol to announce that he will not contest the election again.

Protest against the Hindi name of the new law

As the Modi government intends to introduce three new laws to replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and Evidence Act, protests have started against the name of this new law. The Parliamentary Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs discussed these three bills. During this debate, non-BJP parties including DMK, Trinamool Congress strongly protested against keeping the name of the law in Hindi.

DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran opposed the Hindi names, saying the committee should hold discussions with bar councils of various states and other stakeholders. By keeping the names of the laws in Hindi, the government is indirectly imposing Hindi. MPs from anti-BJP parties, including TMC's Derek O'Brien, supported Dayanidhi's demand.

Legal experts agree with this. According to him, it is ridiculous to keep only the name in Hindi when the entire content of the law is in English.

Yogi's minister took the car on the platform

The video of Yogi Adityanath government cabinet minister Dharampal Singh driving his luxurious car on the ramp made for the disabled at the railway station has gone viral. As there was dirt outside the Charbagh railway station in Lucknow, Dharampal ordered the driver to take the car to the platform. There is talk of Yogi scolding the minister for this act.

Seeing the car on the platform, the passengers were in a rush. The minister's security guards forced the passengers to move with their luggage so that the minister's car could go to the platform easily. Dharmapal was sitting in the car on the platform till the train arrived at the platform.

After the video of this incident went viral, Akhilesh Yadav has quipped that it is good that the minister did not go with the bulldozer. People are also criticizing Dharampal. Instead of stopping the police minister, he is also being criticized for watching the spectacle.
