Terrorists should be wiped out by imposing President's rule in Manipur

- Terrorists raised their heads in Manipur due to weapons coming from Myanmar: Clash with army increased

- Meitei and Kuki-Nag communities face each other in Manipur. The Kuki-Nag tribes receive arms from Myanmar-Bangladesh which are being used freely in violence in Manipur. Meitei is also on the same path. In Manipur even ten-twelve-year-old Taniyas have been seen firing bullets from machine guns. As of now, what these boys will do when they grow up makes the imagination run wild. If this situation continues, in the future people will be hitting each other with bullets and there will be complete chaos in Manipur.

In a shocking incident amid the ongoing violence in Manipur, a crowd of people freed as many as 12 dangerous terrorists from the custody of Indian security forces. A mob of about 1,500 people surrounded the army convoy that captured the terrorists and finally dispersed only after the terrorists were forced to leave. This incident is a proof of the extent to which the situation has deteriorated in Manipur.

This very shocking and shameful incident is from Itham village of East Imphal district of Manipur. There has been continuous violence in Manipur for the last two months and more than 100 people have lost their lives in the violence. In this violence, sophisticated weapons including A-47 are being used freely and terrorist organizations are active in taking advantage of the situation, said Chief Minister N. Birensingh has confessed. Among these organizations, Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) is the most active.

Army and Assam Rifles personnel are conducting continuous search operations to nab members of terrorist organizations. Army received information that KYKL terrorist Moirangtham Tamba alias Uttam is hiding in Itham village along with his accomplices. Uttam and his accomplices were caught sleeping in a midnight operation by the Army. The army also got hold of the weapons that Uttam and his allies had stashed in large quantities in Itham.

On one hand, the army personnel were conducting a search operation and on the other hand, a dozen hoofed terrorists, including Uttam, were preparing to be taken away. Crowds of people started gathering. Within minutes, more than 1500 people gathered and surrounded the army vehicles from all sides. There were women and children in this group, so the army could not force it.

On the other hand, the number of people was also increasing gradually. People were coming with weapons so the situation was becoming explosive. The mob did not even allow a search operation and somehow surrounded the army personnel and took them captive. Army officials tried hard to convince people. Brainstorming went on all day but people were not ready to understand.

The army could have called in other troops and used force but that would have led to a violent clash. The situation in Manipur is bad and if 5-25 people die in a violent clash, there will be a flare-up, so the Army finally showed wisdom and released 12 terrorists to the local people. Army personnel returned empty-handed without taking the terrorists.

The Army has termed its decision to release the terrorists as a 'mature decision'. It is true that the Army has shown prudence in avoiding violence, but this incident has proved that jungle raj and tyranny are going on in Manipur. It is already proven that the police of Manipur does not have the strength to maintain law and order, but it is too much to force the army to ignore the people and abandon the terrorists.

This incident has given a clear indication that if the situation in Manipur is to be improved, the Army will have to be more aggressive. This incident is also an indication that the Meitei community in Manipur has also taken up arms again.

The Meitei community in Manipur is considered economically and socially strong. There is outrage among them due to not getting tribal status. The Meitei community also has resentment against the Assam Rifles personnel. The Meitei community has alleged that the Assam Rifles personnel help the Kuki tribals in illegal opium cultivation.

Assam Rifles jawans are also involved in drug trade and are oppressing the Meitei community. Due to this, the Meitei community blocked the highway and stopped the ration for the soldiers of Assam Rifles. Now, along with the Assam Rifles personnel, it is said to be serious.

In Manipur Meitei and Kuki-Nag communities face each other. The Kuki-Nags are tribal and the Meitei are demanding status as a tribal community, so the Kuki-Nags are also agitated. They are getting arms from Myanmar and Bangladesh which are being used freely in violence in Manipur. The Meitei community is going the same way. Ten-twelve-year-olds have also been seen firing bullets from machine guns in Manipur's violence. As of now, what these boys will do when they grow up makes the imagination run wild. If this situation continues, in the future people will be hitting each other with bullets and there will be complete chaos in Manipur. The solution to this situation is to impose President's rule in Manipur for some time. In the meantime, the help from across the border should be completely stopped by giving a free rein to the army. At the same time the drug business also has to be stopped because the money for arms comes from the drug business itself. Terrorist organizations also have to be broken. Their masters had to be carried inside.

The terrorists of Manipur do not have the strength to separate Manipur from India, but they can certainly spread unrest. Action is needed before this unrest spreads across the North-East.

Terrorist Uttam is the mastermind of the killing of 20 soldiers

Moirangtham Tamba aka Uttam Meitei who got rid of mobs in Manipur. Uttam Khunkhar is considered a terrorist and the mastermind of the terrorist attack in Chandel district in 2015 that killed 20 army personnel.

On June 4, 2015, an army convoy was passing by 15 kilometers from the Myanmar border when an IED detonated their vehicles. After that, a barrage of grenades was launched from the rocket.

The terrorists also fired indiscriminately from sophisticated machine guns.

The convoy of the 6th Battalion of the Army's Dogra Regiment was engaged in administrative work and therefore was not ready for the attack. Due to this, 20 jawans were martyred. KYKL terrorists entered the border of Myanmar after the attack. An organization called the United Liberation Front of South Asia claimed responsibility for the attack.

Paresh Barua of ULFA claimed that SS. Khalpang was the mastermind of the attack but was actually a mastermind, an Army investigation revealed.

Following this attack, India had to enter Myanmar and conduct a surgical strike in 2015. General Ranbir Singh avenged the killing of the terrorists of the Gorkha regiment by carrying out a surgical strike.

- The Hindu Meitei community also took up arms

In Manipur, the gang that got away is Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), a terrorist organization made up of the Meitei community.

KYKL was banned by the Government of India in 1994. This organization formed from the merger of three different terrorist organizations was not active for some time but suddenly became active after the violence in Manipur.

KYKL also aimed to separate Manipur from India but it did not get much support from the Meitei community as the majority of the Meitei community are Hindus. After the BJP came to power in Manipur, the Meitei community has completely calmed down.

Now suddenly the organization formed by Meitei has taken up arms and people are helping them, it is serious. The Meitei community is not getting tribal status and hence there is resentment in the society. On the other hand, attacks by Kuki tribes are increasing. In these circumstances, the Meitei community has to turn to organizations including KYKL for their protection.
