A gun culture that often rears its head is scaring Americans

- Walmart staff targeted: Third shooting in November, two to three gun shootings per day

- In America, the incidents of a crazy person going out with a gun in his hand and leaving dead bodies in a film style are becoming common. An incident in which one or two people have been killed happens at the rate of two every day in America, but a major incident in which eight to ten people have died is also reported every week.

Americans are stunned by yet another shooting incident in America. Ten people were killed in a shooting at a Walmart store in Chesapeake, Virginia, late Tuesday night, according to preliminary reports. The police did not officially give the details of how many people died, but this has been claimed by the top American media. Some media have also claimed that the death toll is not more than ten.

Most of the staff members were present in the Walmart store when the shooting took place on Wednesday at nine o'clock in the morning according to Indian time and at around fifteen in the evening according to American time, so most of the dead are the Walmart staff. According to preliminary details, the manager of the store took out a gun and fired at his staff, killing tens of people. After that he committed suicide by shooting himself in the neck.

The police have not confirmed this but this is the claim of an eyewitness to the incident. Of course, Police Officer Leo Kosinski of the Chesapeake Police Department has admitted that police found the body of the attacker inside the Walmart. Many people have died and many people have been injured in this firing incident. The shooting incident took place at 10.12 pm and the police reached the spot as soon as they got the information about the shooting.

The incident at the Walmart store has further rattled already shaken Americans as it is the third major mass shooting in the month of November. In Virginia, a mass shooting has happened for the second time in a span of ten days. Elsewhere in America, there are shooting incidents.

Three days before the Walmart incident, on November 20, there was a shooting at a gay night club in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this incident, 5 people were killed and 18 people were injured. When the police arrived on time, the gunman was shot and injured. Due to this, the death toll was not very high. A large number of same-sex couples were present in the rest of the club, so there would have been major casualties.

A week before this incident, on November 13, three students of the University of Virginia were killed in Charlottesville, Virginia. All three were players on the student's football team. The girls on this team went to the Washington game with a member of the coaching staff who is a former football player. As the entire team gathered in the garage for a discussion, the former player unleashed bullets, injuring three girls and injuring two others.

This is talking about the incidents that happened in the current month, but such incidents happen every week in America. Incidents such as a deranged man comes out with a gun in his hand and leaves the bodies of people in a movie-style burst of bullets are becoming common. In the event of mass shooting, one or two people have died, two incidents are reported every day in America, but a major incident in which eight to ten people have died is also reported every week.

As soon as a mass shooting happens in America, the discussion of gun culture starts. There is no gun control in America so people buy guns as they please. Because there are more guns in America than the population, the conclusion that people shoot guns for trivial reasons is dismissed and the matter is forgotten. This is not completely wrong. There is no doubt that the gun culture in America increases the incidence of violence. It is true that people can take out their guns and create carnage by releasing bullets whenever they want, but the question of why a person picks up a gun on a trivial matter is also important.

This discussion has been going on for a long time due to these events happening in America on a large scale. The mentality of the gunman who did the mass shooting is being analyzed and it is being concluded that the people in America and especially the youth are getting short tempered. Meaning, they get angry at the slightest thing, their anger goes away quickly. Many reasons are considered responsible for this too, but mainly two reasons are considered responsible. First reason, failure in personal life and second reason, financial problems. In a rich country like America, it may seem strange that people would be disturbed or agitated by such reasons, but this is true.

A common belief is that there is no poverty in America, but this belief is wrong. We see the big cities of America and get dazzled by its splendor, but there is also a different America. Millions of people enter America illegally and these people never make it back. This class keeps on increasing and its scores also keep on increasing. In America, inflation is at its peak, unemployment has increased and problems have increased due to this. There is anger and frustration among people and it doesn't seem like it will go away, so depression increases. People take out this frustration by firing a gun.

Personal relationships are also a major cause of depression in America. America is a materialistic country so happiness of any person is measured by material happiness only. Because of this, personal relationships are not sustainable. A boy and a girl fall in love at a young age but break up after some time when reality sets in. Most of the youth in America cannot stand this. Many young people turn to drugs in their frustration and many turn to violence. This is also true for older people. All of them also descend into violence due to failure of personal life. How to stop this violence is a big concern in America right now. The US government has another concern. There were mass shooting incidents in America before but at the same time social media did not have influence so it did not spread much. Now that social media is ubiquitous, videos of even the smallest incidents go viral. Due to these incidents, the image of America is deteriorating in the world. At one time America was considered among the most peaceful countries. This is no longer a belief. At one time, the world's intelligence was attracted to America. America is also worried that foreign talented people will not come to America due to the deterioration of America's image.

601 incidents of mass shootings in 2022, an average of two murders per day

Mass shootings in America, i.e. shootings involving large numbers of people, are increasing at an alarming rate. Among the top organizations working to ban gun culture in America is the Gun Violence Archives.

This organization keeps a record of the number of mass shootings that occur in the United States each year.

According to the records of Gun Violence Archives, 601 incidents of mass shooting have happened in the year 2022 in America. Considering that there is still a quarter of a month left in the year 2022 and this figure is up to the second week of November, it can be said that on an average two incidents of mass shooting happen every day. Out of 601 mass shooting incidents, 20 incidents have resulted in five or more deaths. Among these incidents, a gunman killed 21 people, including 19 children and 2 teachers, at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas on May 24.

Last year i.e. 692 incidents of mass shooting were reported in 2021. 28 of them were incidents in which four or more people died.
