Talking about Delhi: BJP is surprised by Panda being in charge of UP

New Delhi: BJP has appointed the in-charges and co-in-charges of 23 states ahead of the Lok Sabha elections and has surprised everyone by appointing Baijyant Panda as the in-charge of Uttar Pradesh. Even though Panda, who has been in the ruling BJD of Odisha for years, joined BJP only in 2018, BJP leaders are also shocked that he has been made the in-charge of the most important state for BJP. Panda has been a member of Rajya Sabha for two terms and Lok Sabha for two terms. Panda has served as in-charge of Delhi and Assam. He has also worked as the in-charge of Mahila Morcha.

BJP sources say that Kahyagara Panda of the high command has been selected to keep Yogi Adityanath under control in UP. The BJP high command does not want any interference from Yogi or anyone else in decisions about Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections. Panda, being Amit Shah's confidant, will not do anything without asking the high command.

Akhilesh gains because of Nitish, Congress kneels

The political upheaval in Bihar has benefited the Samajwadi Party. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh has also created a rift in the Congress. The Congress, which has been hesitating on the issue of Lok Sabha seats till now, has suddenly come on line and has agreed to contest in 11 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats of UP. Akhilesh Yadav himself has announced this. Jayant Chaudhary's Rashtriya Lok Dal will be given 7 seats while the Samajwadi Party will contest the remaining 62 seats.

There is discontent in the Congress against Akhilesh's announcement and there are rumblings of a breakup. The leaders of the state Congress claim that Akhilesh Yadav has made a one-sided announcement. The Congress High Command has not yet informed us about this. Sources in the Congress say that in UP, the Congress cannot back out of the seat agreement with the SP, so many leaders will leave the party.

The condition of BJP leaders who insulted Nitish became worse

Amid speculations that Nitish Kumar will join the ranks of the BJP again on Sunday, the condition of Bihar BJP leaders including Sushil Kumar Modi, Giriraj Singh, Ashwini Chaubey has become dire. After Nitish left BJP and joined RJD, these leaders kept saying that BJP will never join hands with Nitish Kumar. Nitish has committed treason so friendship with him is not possible. Now these same leaders are having to defend themselves by saying that the decision of the High Command is final and the doors are never closed for anyone.

The BJP high command has shown their character by not even asking the opinion of these leaders when they discussed with Nitish behind the door. The high command is also said to have kept BJP state president Samrat Chaudhary in the dark. Samrat Chaudhary still maintains that no final decision has been taken on the tie-up with Nitish.

Nitish will take all Congress MLAs

The political upheaval in Bihar has caused the most concern in the Congress camp as the phones of around 15 Congress MLAs have been switched off for the last two days. Congress has 19 MLAs in Bihar Assembly. Among these, 9 MLAs are expected to join the ranks of BJP along with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. 14 MLAs of Congress had to leave the party because the anti-defection law was not implemented. Looking at the current situation, it seems that Nitish has prepared the stage for a break in the Congress.

Congress sources admit that there is a strong possibility that the MLAs will leave the party for power as there is no chance that the Congress can ever form a government on its own strength in Bihar. Under these circumstances, it will not be surprising if the MLAs keep Nitish's support to secure their future.

Congress-Trinamool face to face over approval of Rahul's meeting

While Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra has entered West Bengal, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has once again lined up against Mamata Banerjee on the pretext of the Yatra. Bengal Pradesh Congress President Chaudhary claims that there are difficulties in getting permission to hold Rahul's public meeting in Bengal. Although the program of Rahul's yatra was given to the state administration long ago, we are not allowed to hold public meetings in some places on the pretext of exams going on. Chaudhary has indirectly alleged that the Mamata Banerjee government is putting rubble in Rahul's journey.

The Trinamool Congress says that Chaudhary is making baseless statements at the behest of the BJP. In Siliguri, a public meeting was held in the school ground but because the examination was going on, the public meeting was not allowed in the school ground.

Implementation plan of UCC in Uttarakhand ready

To signal that it is serious about the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) before the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will implement it in Uttarakhand. Pushkar Singh Dhami's government of Uttarakhand has called a special session of the Legislative Assembly on February 5 to pass the bill on UCC.

The committee formed by the Uttarakhand government under the chairmanship of former Supreme Court judge Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai will submit its report on the UCC to the government on February 2. Dhami has announced that the five-member Justice Ranjana Desai Committee has drafted the UCC Bill. Provisions have been made in this bill including giving equal share to daughters in paternal and father's property. Sources claim that the issue of raising the marriage age limit for girls is not covered in it.
