Bhabhi Sunetra pitted against Supriya in Baramati

New Delhi: Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar's groups will face off in the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra, but the Pawar clan is also likely to face off as Ajit Pawar wants to field his wife Sunetra against Supriya Sule. Supriya Sharad Pawar's stronghold Manati has been elected to the Lok Sabha for three consecutive terms. On the other hand, Sunetra has also started campaigning in Baramati. Since Supriya and Ajit have good relations, it was believed that Ajit would not field a candidate against Supriya, but after Ajit's appeal to the people of Baramati, it has become clear that Ajit's group is in no mood to let Supriya win. Ajith has appealed to the voters of Baramati, this time to win the new candidate who has the support of the veterans.

Revanth's BJP formula brought in Allu's father-in-law

In Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has started to vacate the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) by adopting BJP's strategy. Aiming to win all 17 seats of Telangana in the Lok Sabha elections, Revanth Reddy is bringing all the leaders from BRS to Congress who can win or help to win.

In the latest round of Revanth Reddy's recruitment fair, more than ten top stalwarts, including Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's father-in-law Kancharala Chandrasekhar Reddy, have left the BRS and joined the Congress. Apart from Reddy, Sunitha Reddy, Banoth Raman Naik and Bonthu Rammohan have joined the Congress. Rammohan has been the Mayor of Hyderabad Greater Municipal Corporation.

Congress plans for Mayawati-Pallavi tie-up

Pallavi Patel of Apna Dal (Kemeravadi) moving away from Samajwadi Party is sliding closer to Congress. Sources say that the Congress is moving towards an alliance with BSP and Pallavi Patel instead of Akhilesh Yadav for the Lok Sabha elections.

Pallavi Patel, sister of Minister Anupriya Patel in the Modi government, is to attend Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra in Varanasi. Meanwhile, sources claim that an alliance between Congress and his party will be discussed with Rahul Gandhi. Pallavi, who defeated Deputy Chief Minister Kesh Prasad Maurya in the assembly elections, had asked for five seats in the Lok Sabha, but as Akhilesh showed readiness to give only two seats, Pallavi, upset, has announced that he will not vote for Samajwadi Party candidates in the Rajya Sabha elections. Pallavi is to contest from Mirzapur seat against her sister Anupriya. Congress has shown readiness to give seven seats to Pallavi.

Mamata removed the minister who was in jail for four months

In West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has created a surprise by removing Forest Minister Jyotipriya Mallik. ED has arrested Mallik in the case of corruption in ration distribution. Mamata has handed over Mallik's ministry to other ministers. The Trinamool Congress says the party has a zero-tolerance policy on corruption and does not want to have people in the government who look even suspicious, hence Mallick's removal.

The BJP leader is terming Mamata's move as a play related to the Lok Sabha elections. He says that Mallik was arrested in October but Mamata did not remove him till now. Where did Mamata's zero tolerance policy against corruption go for four months?

Displeasure in Congress over making old ministers again

In Jharkhand, MLA Baidyanath Ram is furious after the Champai Soren government did not make a minister in the cabinet expansion. Ram claims that he had his name in the cabinet expansion and was slated to make himself a cabinet minister but backed out at the last minute. Baidyanath Ram has announced that he will not tolerate this humiliation and if necessary, he will also stand as an independent in the assembly elections. Ram claims that his card has been cut under the pressure of Congress leaders.

The Congress is also upset because of the extension of the Soren government. Soren has included seven new ministers in the cabinet expansion. Alamgir has already taken oath before Alam.

Apart from this, Rameshwar Auran, Banna Gupta and Badal Patralekh have been made ministers. All these four were ministers in the Hemant government. MLAs have expressed their dissatisfaction with the allegation that Congress is not giving opportunities to new people.
