Abdullah will join hands with BJP in Kashmir

New Delhi: There are indications that the central government will hold the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir along with the Lok Sabha elections. The National Conference of Umar and Farooq Abdullah has shown readiness to join hands with the BJP if the BJP holds the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir along with the Lok Sabha elections. As BJP needs a strong ally in Kashmir Valley, BJP has accepted Abdullah's offer. This is why the National Conference has announced to leave the anti-BJP Morcha India and fight alone.

Sources say that BJP wants its own government in Jammu and Kashmir but it is difficult for it to form a government on its own strength as there is no mass base in Kashmir Valley. BJP is burnt by Mehbooba Mufti so cannot tie up with her. BJP tried Ghulamnabi Azad but it seems that he has no strength and finally the Abdullah family will be sidelined.

Relief for Congress as BJP did not field the fourth candidate

The Congress is relieved that the BJP has not fielded a fourth candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections in Maharashtra. With this, Congress candidate Chandrakant Handore's victory has been confirmed. With the abolition of the independent candidate form, there will be no need for elections for six seats as only six candidates are in the fray.

Since the 12 MLAs of Ashok Chavan's group who left the Congress and joined the BJP were in a mood to revolt, the BJP was expected to put up a fourth candidate by fielding the Congress, but the BJP has decided not to field the fourth candidate as it is facing the Lok Sabha elections. The fourth candidate had to work hard to get the necessary votes to win. Apart from this, BJP did not take the risk of spoiling the image of BJP due to political maneuvering. Due to this, now apart from Handore of Congress, Ashok Chavan of BJP, Medha Kulkarni and Dr. Ajit Gopachade, Ajit Pawar's NCP's Prafull Patel and Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena's Milind Deora are all set to win.

In Rajasthan, BJP will defeat the three big Congresses

Ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections in Rajasthan, the BJP is planning to deal a major blow by uprooting three big Congress leaders. BJP sources claim that Mahendrajit Singh Malviya, Lalchand Kataria and Richpal Mirdha are ready to break the throne.

Adivasi MLA Malviya is a member of the Congress Working Committee but is believed to be upset at not being given the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly. Malviya was not present during Sonia Gandhi's Rajya Sabha candidature. BJP is counting on getting a big advantage of tribal votes due to Malviya, who is very close to Gehlot.

Lalchand Kataria has been a minister twice in the Gehlot government and has also been an MP from the Jaipur Lok Sabha seat. Kataria is upset that the Congress did not issue tickets in the assembly elections. Richpal Mirgha's son Vijay was given a ticket by the Congress but the Congress leaders defeated him. BJP is likely to field Malaviya from Banswada and Kataria from Jaipur Rural seat for Lok Sabha elections.

Mamata Banerjee herself in the field to convince Mimi

Actress-turned-politician Mimi Chakraborty has resigned from the Trinamool Congress ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal, a major blow to Mamata Banerjee. Mimi, who was elected from Jadavpur Lok Sabha seat, has alleged that Trinamool leaders have subjected her to mental torture. Mimi has said that she will leave politics claiming that she has no business in politics, but sources say that Mimi is going to join BJP. Earlier, Rudrani Ghosh, Yash Dasgupta and Srabanti Chatterjee from the Bengali film industry have joined the BJP.

Considering that Mamata has not yet accepted Mimi's resignation, the Trinamool Congress leader is expressing confidence that Mamata will convince Mimi. He says that what has happened to veteran leaders who left Trinamool Congress and joined BJP is in front of everyone's eyes, so Mimi will not do such a foolish thing.

No ticket to Meenakshi despite Rahul's promise

There are speculations that Meenakshi Natarajan will leave the Congress and join the BJP as she is very close to Rahul Gandhi in Madhya Pradesh. Meenakshi became a member of the Lok Sabha after winning from the Mandsaur seat in 2009 but has since lost twice in a row. Of course, being close to Rahul, Rahul promised to send her to the Rajya Sabha, but considering the Lok Sabha elections, Meenakshi is upset that Ashok Singh was chosen in the end.

Ashok Singh is considered to be close to Digvijay Singh and an important leader in the Chambal-Gwalior region. Although Singh has also lost four consecutive Lok Sabha elections from Gwalior seat, it has been decided to send him to the Rajya Sabha to keep the OBC voters happy.

Sources of the Congress say that Meenakshi won the 2009 elections in the wave of the Congress but she has no support. Ashok Singh did not win but could help Congress regain seats in the Chambal-Gwalior region.

Congress's Christian-Muslim card in Karnataka

The Congress government in Karnataka has played the Muslim-Christian card in view of the Lok Sabha elections. The Siddaramaiah government has allocated Rs 100 crore for waqf properties in its budget while allocating Rs 200 crore for the Christian community. For the first time in the history of Karnataka, such a huge amount has been allocated for the Christian community.

The proportion of Christians in Karnataka's population is less than two percent, but the Christian population can influence the results of three Lok Sabha seats. Apart from the four districts of Bidar, Uttak Kannada, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, Bangalore city also has a large Christian population. Muslims in Karnataka are around 13 percent but traditionally lean towards the Congress, while Christian voters have long been inclined towards the BJP due to anti-Muslim sentiment, so the Congress has decided to woo them.

Mamata's jhatkani that plunged the Sangh into controversy

BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad took a swipe at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who blamed the RSS for the violence in Sandeshkhali area of West Bengal and said that it is a shame for her that a woman Chief Minister is making such an allegation. Mamataji, why have you become so ugly, so violent and so anti-women? If the BJP had made such a comment, there would have been a huge uproar, it is called a shameful double standard, said Prasad.

He also hinted at the possibility of one of his family members from Rae Bareli contesting the election.
