America is considered to be the most vigilant country regarding cyber security. However, if there is a threat hovering over America, what will be the condition of other countries? Diplomatic relations between America and Russia keep getting cold and hot, as each other's hackers keep targeting the agencies and companies of each other's country. Following Russia's footsteps, China has also built a vast empire of hacker armies, targeting users in India.

Chinese hackers continue to target government agencies and companies from time to time, but the soft target of these hackers is the common users of India. We don't have digital literacy yet, China is taking advantage of it. There are heaps of online ads in the name of online earning or making money from gaming. Chinese hackers strike with the same method. First lays a trap that benefits the users. Setting up a trap to get money online. Mostly it targets users from small towns. In the beginning, the user gets some money, so the return is assured. After that users are asked to invest more amount and as the investment increases, lime is applied.

Last week, the Hyderabad police busted a nationwide Chinese fraud. With the help of social media, this nationwide fraud scheme was running. According to the Hyderabad Police, the fraud racket of Rs 712 crore was done through Chinese handlers. In India, fraud was done using company names and SIM cards in different ways. More than 15,000 citizens were caught in this mud of online fraud. Police arrested nine persons in this racket. These accused used to organize conspiracies according to the order received from above.

Earlier, in the name of reviewing Telegram posts, an investment of 1000 rupees was made from users, out of which 800-1000 rupees were profited. After that, in the second phase, an investment of 20 thousand rupees was taken, in return 25 thousand was given, but the users were not allowed to withdraw from the account. That way more investments were received and then through bogus companies registered in India, the funds first went to Dubai via cryptocurrency and from there to the handler in China. This cryptotransaction also took place in the account of a terrorist organization called Hezbollah in Lebanon. The account was linked to the terror fund module. It means that Chinese hackers also get funds for terrorism in this way and help in terrorist attacks.

The entire racket was exposed after a young victim of fraud in Hyderabad filed a complaint with Cybercrime. He was continuously invested with the lure of earnings. That one young man had invested 28 lakh rupees. All his money was transferred to six different accounts. During the investigation, 48 such bank accounts were found, which were opened in the name of fake companies. 113 Indian bank accounts were used in this fraud. The accused had opened 65 bank accounts of 33 shell companies in Lucknow. These accused received two lakh rupees for each account.

On the same lines, earlier, Chinese hackers have swindled crores of rupees through social media. Even earlier this year, a fraud of Rs 1200 crore was committed by creating a fake Chinese app and giving the lure of making money from loan, share trading and gaming apps. At that time too, more than 100 shell companies were created and then money in cryptocurrency reached China from Dubai. At that time, hackers targeted small towns in Uttar Pradesh. Shares were given on the pretext of running a mobile accessories manufacturing company. On that issue, ED is investigating big companies like China's Vivo. UP Police nabbed two Chinese nationals trying to flee to Nepal. A total of three Chinese accused were arrested in this regard.

In 2022, an online racket was running from China in the name of providing part-time work from home in Amazon, Flipcard etc. 30 thousand people were trapped by Chinese hackers and 200 crore rupees reached China with cryptocurrency. Three Indians were arrested in it. In 2019, Chinese hackers hacked the Indian unit of an Italian company worth 131 crores. The Chairman of Technimote Pvt Ltd's India-based unit filed a police complaint under cyber crime. The chairman of the India unit was contacted by the Chinese hackers through the same mail-i as the group CEO of an Italy-based company, telling him that funds were needed to close a deal with a Chinese company. Since there is a highly secretive deal and funds are not being transferred from Italy, please cooperate in transferring the funds from the company's account based in India. Saying that, the hackers transferred the amount from the account three times.

Well, if the chairman of a big company can be fooled, it is no wonder that common citizens are fooled. But now is the time to be wary of these Chinese hackers. It is possible that Chinese hackers have cheated Indian users of more than three thousand crores in the name of earning from work from home in the period after the corona epidemic.
