Talking about Delhi: Rahul's office phone, internet connection cut

New Delhi: A new controversy has arisen after the Indian government company BSNLA cut the landline phone and internet connection of Rahul Gandhi's office in Kalpetta in Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency. After Rahul Gandhi's departure from Parliament, BSNL has taken swift action to cut off the government phone and internet connection of Rahul's office in Wayanad, and the Congress is infuriated. Congress claimed that the party had shown readiness to pay the bill for this number, but the connection has been cut.

On the other hand, BSNL says that since Rahul is not an MP, the government cannot keep the allotted number. This connection is provided free of cost to MPs by the government. Rahul Gandhi has just vacated his Tughlaq Lane bungalow in New Delhi. As Rahul was disqualified as an MP, the Lok Sabha Secretariat asked him to vacate the bungalow.

Rahul Gandhi is going to Wayanad on April 11. Earlier this action has been taken by BSNL.

Relief to the middle class: CNG, PNG made cheaper

The government has claimed that PNG and CNG will become cheaper by approving a new formula for determining the price of domestic natural gas. Union Minister Anurag Thakur has claimed that with the new formula PNG i.e. piped cooking gas will be 10% cheaper while CNG will be 7% cheaper. Both CNG and PNG will see an average reduction of five rupees each. The government has taken this decision to please the middle class.

According to the new formula, the price of natural gas will be determined based on the average price of the last month of the Indian crude basket. The price of natural gas will be 10 percent of the average price of the crude basket. The government will also issue an order that prices cannot be increased for two years.

Experts are welcoming this decision. According to him, people are suffering as PNC gas cylinder is expensive and CNG price is at par with petrol. If the prices come down, more people will switch to it.

Minister's secretary lied to Trinamool MPs

Mamata Banerjee's All India Trinamool Congress has accused Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh of lying and cheating. Trinamool claims that when a party delegation went to meet Giriraj at his office, his personal secretary said that Giriraj had left for Bihar but in fact Giriraj was still in Delhi. The Trinamool has fueled the issue by alleging that government ministers are not even ready to listen to the submissions of non-BJP governments.

A delegation of Trinamool Congress MPs had tried to meet Giriraj on April 5 demanding the release of dues under central government schemes including MGNREGA. After meeting Giriraj, he gave a memorandum of his demands to the officials present in the ministry.

Trinamool has released a letter in this regard and wrote that our Lok Sabha MPs saw you in Parliament and also spoke to you. It is unethical to give false information from a minister's office.

Dissatisfaction in Karnataka Congress with tickets to defectors

In the Karnataka Assembly elections, the Congress has announced the second list of 42 candidates, there is resentment in the Congress as three former MLAs who left the BJP and JDS were also given tickets. Activists are protesting that Congress is also going the way of BJP by giving ticket to those who worked against Congress for five years.

The most surprising name in the Congress list is that of Baburao Chinchansur, who was instrumental in defeating National President Mallikarjun Kharge. Kharge defeated Kharge by campaigning for BJP's Umesh Jadav in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Chinchansur. Jadav also left the Congress and joined the BJP.

Congress has given ticket to Baburao Chinchansur from Gurmitkal seat which is Kharge's stronghold. Baburao left the BJP and rejoined the Congress last month. Gurmitkal is a very important seat for Congress. Khadge has been elected as MLA for eight consecutive times from this seat. Another former MLA of BJP N.Y. Gopalakrishna and four times expelled MLA from JDS S.R. Srinivasa has also been given a ticket.

Interest rates will go back up after the Karnataka elections

Economists are of the opinion that the middle class will feel relieved now but will suffer in the long run due to the Reserve Bank of India's decision not to raise the repo rate in defiance of the Modi government. After 6 consecutive increases in the repo rate, it is believed that the rate has not been increased this time due to the Karnataka assembly elections.

Reserve Bank Monetary Policy meeting is held every two months. Economists believe that when the next meeting will be held, since the Karnataka election is over, there will be a heavy dose.

Since the Reserve Bank raised the repo rate to 4.40 percent by calling an emergency meeting on May 2 and 3 last year, the repo rate has reached 6.50 percent due to continuous increases.

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has already said that the rate has not been changed to maintain the recovery of the economy but if necessary we will take steps according to the situation.
