Bhutan sitting in the lap of China poses a threat to India's security

- Doklam is a tri-junction where the borders of India, Bhutan and China touch, Bhutan also agreed that no construction should be done on it.

- Bhutan has suddenly announced that China is an equal partner along with India and Bhutan in the Doklam dispute. China should also play an equal role in finding a solution to this dispute. This statement of Bhutan's Prime Minister Lotte Tshering has shocked India. Tshering has given a big shock by saying that China has not invaded any of our areas or occupied any of our areas illegally. India was fighting over China's occupation of Bhutan's territory until now. India has also lost its soldiers and now India's situation has become dire as it has put Bhutan on hold.

China has an eye on many parts of India. To digest these areas, China is doing Ughama. Due to this growing bully and nefarious activities of China, there is a situation of concern in India, while overturning Bhutan, India's concern has increased. There are many disputes between India and China regarding the border land and one of them is related to Doklam. India's position is clear that Doklam is part of Bhutan and China has invaded and occupied the area illegally.

Bhutan used to support India's stance till now but now it has suddenly slapped Bhutan and declared that China is also an equal partner along with India and Bhutan in the Doklam dispute. China should also play an equal role in finding a solution to this dispute. This statement of Bhutan's Prime Minister Lotte Tshering has shocked India. In an interview to a Belgian newspaper, Tsering has also said that Bhutan is ready for talks to find a solution to the Doklam dispute when India and China are ready.

Doklam is a tri-junction where the borders of three countries India, Bhutan and China meet. When China started building a road in this area, there was a fierce clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in which twenty Indian soldiers were killed by the Chinese. At that time, India clearly said that China is encroaching on this area and constructing illegally. Bhutan told India that no country should build on the tri-junction. Bhutan repeated this point again and again.

Now suddenly Bhutan's tone has changed so it is natural for India to feel shocked. However, Lotte Tsering has given a big shock by saying that China has not invaded any of our areas or illegally grabbed any of our areas. India was fighting over China's occupation of Bhutan's territory until now. India has also lost its soldiers and now India's situation has become dire as it has put Bhutan on hold.

Bhutan's sudden change of complexion could be a big blow to India as Lotte Tsering's statement is being interpreted to mean that Bhutan wants to hand over its area near the Doklam border to Bhutan to protect its eastern region. If Bhutan actually does that, China will dominate the Doklam area and pose a huge threat to India's security.

China has wanted to move the tri-junction to Mount Gimpochi for years, but India has vehemently opposed it. Currently the tri-junction is at a place called Batang La. To the north of Batang La is China's Chumbi Valley, to the south and east is Bhutan and to the west is India's Sikkim. Seven kilometers from Batang La is Mount Gimpochi. If the tri-junction is moved seven kilometers away, the entire Doklam area would become China's. If this area belongs to China, China can easily monitor the entire area, can invade anytime, so India opposes.

One may ask why Bhutan handed over its land to China and the answer lies in China's incompetence. Doklam is an area on the western border of Bhutan. In this area, China has encroached 270 square kilometers of Bhutan. China has also annexed 500 square kilometers of Bhutan's eastern border near the Jakarlung and Pasamlung valleys.

Bhutan is a tiny country and depends on India for its security. There is a possibility that China has forced him to make an agreement under the circumstances that he does not have the strength to confront China. According to this agreement, the area along the Doklam border should be vacated by Bhutan and in return, China should withdraw from the eastern border. This deal is beneficial for Bhutan because if China moves from the eastern border, it will get back 500 square kilometers area and against it only 270 square kilometers area of the western border will have to be removed. China has built a highway in the Doklam area and has also settled villages. There is also a Chinese army camp. Under these circumstances, there is no possibility that China will move from there. No matter what Bhutan does, it cannot remove China, so it may be that Bhutan has entered into this deal thinking that it is good for the fleeing ghost.

A deal that is a win for Bhutan may turn out to be a huge loss for India as the Doklam tri-junction is strategically very important for India. Doklam area is owned by Bhutan but claimed by China. Doklam is close to our strategically important region known as Chicken's Neck or Siliguri Corridor so India cannot afford China to occupy it.

India does not want to let this happen under any circumstances, so it is putting all its strength to stop China. Bhutan was also with India, so China was not interested, but now Bhutan is sitting in water, there is no doubt that there will be a big threat to India's security. Although India has to spend more military to avoid this threat, there is no doubt that China will be in a better position strategically if it gets the territory of Bhutan.

Considering that Bhutan has been India's friend for years, India should talk to Bhutan on this issue. India should also be made aware of the loss it will suffer if Bhutan falls completely into China's lap.

Sikkim is a threat if China occupies Doklam

Chinese charity is like Khora Topra. By occupying the Doklam area, China can isolate our entire north-eastern states from India and usurp them in the future. The rest of India is connected to the North-Eastern states near Doklam by a 200-km-long and 17-km-long narrow strip known as the Siliguri Corridor. The Siliguri corridor is only 5 km wide at some places.

On one side of this strip is Nepal and on the other side is Bangladesh. On the opposite side of the Siliguri Corridor are Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura and Manipur, 7 sister states of Assam and 8 states in India. Bhutan also crosses the corridor. If China occupies the territory of Bhutan, it can enter our territory at any time. Sikkim is closest to Siliguri Corridor so it would be very easy for China to invade Sikkim.

China built villages with bunkers on Bhutanese soil

China has not only built a road in the Doklam Tribe area of Bhutan but has also built a new village called Pangda. Pangda village is located just nine kilometers from the tri-junction. China initially built a few houses here but later has also built malls, shops, theaters etc. All this is said to have been erected for the sake of appearance. Actually there are bunkers and military equipment hidden in shops, malls etc.

Now China is populating four-five villages called Laingmarpo 20 kilometers away from the northern border. These villages are also being built in the land of Bhutan. Villages named Saiburu, Chaitangsha and Kulu have been built. These villages are also military camps.
