Talking about Delhi: Say, Sangma did not allow Modi's rally

New Delhi: The Conrad Sangma government in Meghalaya has created a stir by not allowing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold an election rally. BJP has won Chief Minister Konrad Sangam's constituency South Tura PA. Sangma had sought permission to go to Modi's meeting at the stadium, but the sports department of the Sangma government has denied permission to the BJP. The permission was not granted claiming that construction work is going on in the stadium at present.

The BJP has expressed displeasure over the issue and alleged that the ruling National People's Party (NSP), Trinamool Congress and other opposition parties are trying to stop the BJP's wave in the state. Modi is going to campaign in Shillong and Tura on February 24.

Counting days are left for assembly polls in Meghalaya today. BJP and Konrad Sangam's National People's Party have come face to face in this election. Both fought together in 2018 and have run the government for five years.

Congress will give one-third of the tickets to women

When the National Convention of the Congress in Chhattisgarh's capital Raipur begins on February 24, it is likely that the Congress will decide to give one-third of the tickets to women in all states including Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Congress can amend the constitution to give more tickets to women. It is being considered to include the issue of giving one-third ticket to women in the party constitution.

Congress sources claim that the Raipur convention can prove to be important in giving a new direction to the party. On the second day of this convention, the Congress will pass a political resolution attacking the alleged nationalism and aggressive politics of the BJP. A Congress think tank is deliberating on this resolution. There will also be brainstorming about BJP's politics in the convention. The issue will also be discussed as the Congress now wants to present itself in a new form across the country by giving the slogan of hand to hand.

Verdict on Shiv Sena shocks legal experts

Uddhav Thackeray's faction has been dealt a big blow as the Election Commission has allotted Shiv Sena's name and election symbol Dhanush-Ban to Eknath Shinde faction. This is a big shock for Uddhav Thackeray personally as the party built by his father Balsaheb Thackeray is no longer with him. However, the Election Commission has shocked Shinde by allotting Shiv Sena's name and election symbol.

The Election Commission has given a verdict based on the Shiv Sena constitution of 1999, that Uddhav Thackeray did not make democratic appointments and appointed people he believed to be his own people without elections. Interestingly, both groups of Eknath Shinde and Uddhav Thackeray, while suing the party, said that the 2018 constitution was in force and the panel has allotted the symbol to the Shinde group based on that. If Uddhav has not run the party in a democratic manner, he can be suspended for that, but how can Shinde's claim be accepted, the question is being raised.

AAP will contest all seats in five states

After winning 5 seats in the assembly elections in Gujarat, you have also got the status of a national party, so you are working hard to maintain this status. AAP has ordered to start the process of forming party organization in 5 states. It will adopt a different strategy in these five states to form village-level committees and organize a database of activists at the village, block and district levels.

Stones were pelted on Owaisi's house for the fourth time

All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi's government bungalow on Ashok Road in Delhi was pelted with stones and the police have run away. The windows of Owaisi's house were broken in this stone pelting. Owaisi has filed a complaint with the police.

According to Owaisi's complaint, he was not at home at the time of the incident. When they reached home at 11.30 pm, the windows of the house were broken and bricks and stones were lying all around. Owaisi's servant lodged a police complaint informing him that stones had been pelted. Owaisi claims that his house has been attacked for the fourth time.

Even the police admit that the incident is serious. Owaisi's house is in a high security area and there are many CCTV cameras installed around the house but it is shocking that the rioters dared to pelt stones. An attack on an MP's house has also left the police on the run.

Allegations against Sisodia but no charge sheet

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was summoned by the CBI for questioning in the liquor scam case but Sisodia did not appear. Sisodia said, "Give me a week's time as I am busy with preparations for the Delhi government's budget." The CBI accepted the request and said that another summons for questioning would be sent soon.

The summons sent to Sisodia is weighing on the CBI. Although Sisodia is not named as an accused in the charge sheet, the question is being asked why the CBI has fallen behind him. The CBI's defense is that Sisodia has been summoned for questioning almost three months after the charge sheet was filed in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The CBI alleged that government officials including Sisodia framed the excise policy without obtaining approval from the competent authority. Its purpose was to give unfair advantage to traders after the tender. The CBI is silent on why Sisodia's name is not in the chargesheet.
