Hierarchy of intermediaries.

The Reserve Bank of India Governor has said that it is difficult to control inflation due to rising prices and global tensions. He also admitted that it would be difficult to stabilize the economy without controlling inflation. His views cannot be dismissed outright. These days, the whole world is facing recession and wars have disrupted the supply chain, increasing the prices of many things. India till date has protected itself from the tumultuous vicissitudes of recession but no country in the world is free from its influence. To counter this, the Reserve Bank has kept its repo rate unchanged for a long time. An attempt was made to curb inflation by increasing these rates six times earlier, but at current levels many people who have taken loans for home, vehicle, business, etc. have been burdened with monthly installments.

However, many banks around the world have increased their interest rates, causing many investors to turn away from the security market. It is also true that there is an atmosphere of uncertainty due to constant fluctuations in crude oil prices. Due to this, the idea of reducing the prices of natural oil i.e. petroleum has to be postponed. This is affecting the cost of goods transportation and production of goods. But it is difficult to attribute global tensions to the upward trend in inflation in India over the past few months. Because the prices of daily commodities like vegetables, fruits, milk, grains have seen the highest inflation. Among them, the highest inflation has been recorded in the price of vegetables. When the arrival of vegetables is more in this season. The weather has also been almost perfect. Global tensions cannot be attributed to the rise in the prices of these commodities.

Transport fares have definitely gone up, but not for a few months. Oil prices have been at high levels for a long time, and costs in agriculture are already high. One aspect of this is that the farmers are not getting the price that the consumers have to pay in the market. This situation clearly shows that there are other reasons behind inflation and there is a dire need to keep them under control. To which the government falls back. Hierarchy of middlemen has spread everywhere in the country not only in agricultural products. They have termite-like features. Government tables are subject to middlemen. In the payments made by boards and corporations in Gujarat, the BJP government has issued a new order that if there are payments of more than ten lakhs, it is mandatory to get the signature of the minister of the concerned department. As the file goes into signature, the ghosts of middlemen begin to fade away.

Middlemen are a major obstacle in efforts to stabilize the economy but the government does not see it. Efforts by the Center to balance the economy have been going on for a long time and the Reserve Bank believes that success can be achieved in this direction if inflation is controlled to the tolerance limit of five percent. But a strange kind of imbalance has arisen. The growth rate is estimated at seven percent, but the purchasing power of the people is not increasing due to the fall in per capita income. An increase in per capita income is necessary to strengthen the economy and this is possible only when employment opportunities increase. But, the performance of the industrial sector has been disappointing, hence the weakness on the employment front. The attention that should be given to the agricultural sector and the facilities that should be provided to the farmers according to the changing situation are not being provided. In such a situation, it cannot be said that it is right to stay away from rising inflation in the name of global tension. Who should people expect to solve their problems?
