Talking about Delhi: Jayant will leave Akhilesh and hold the hand of Congress


New Delhi: As the tension between the Congress and the Samajwadi Party is going on over the issue of seat sharing in the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, there are indications that SP's old ally Jayant Chaudhary of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) is leaving Akhilesh Yadav's side and leaning towards the Congress. When Akhilesh and Congress are facing each other in the assembly elections of five states, Jayant Chaudhary is campaigning for Congress instead of SP and there are indications that Jayant will join Akhilesh's line.

SP sources do not find Jayant Chaudhary's closeness with the Congress surprising. He says that Congress can give more Lok Sabha seats to Jayant Chaudhary than Akhilesh in UP. SP cannot give more than five-seven seats to Lok Dal while Congress can give twenty seats. Congress still has Brahmin and Dalit vote banks. If Jyant's Jat vote bank is added to it, both can benefit.

Stalin-Akhilesh in Third Front Faction

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has created a surprise by inviting only Akhilesh Yadav to the unveiling of Vishwanath Pratap Singh's statue in Chennai. In Tamil Nadu, the Congress and Stalin's DMK are partners in government. Former Prime Minister V.P. Singh was anti-Congress so Congress was unlikely to attend the event but Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav VP. Since Singh was from the Janata Dal, he could have been called but Stalin did not call him either.

Sources close to Stalin say that since the Congress is a partner in the Nitish-Tejaswi government in Bihar, Stalin has chosen to keep them away so that there is no conflict. Congress sources believe that Stalin is in the mood to do something new by colluding with Akhilesh. The fact that he only gave importance to Akhilesh despite knowing that Akhilesh is not compatible with the Congress cannot be ruled out that Stalin is making a new plan to bring the BJP and the anti-Congress parties together.

Controversy over holidays in schools in Bihar

The Nitish Kumar government of Bihar has announced a new calendar of school holidays for the year 2024. In this calendar, the holidays of Hindu festivals have been reduced while the holidays of Muslim festivals including Eid have been increased. Following this, Union Minister Giriraj Singh has alleged that Nitish should declare Bihar a Muslim state as Bihar has now become an Islamic Republic. Giriraj even quipped that in future, Nitish and Lalu Mohammad will be known as Nitish and Mohammad Lalu.

On the other hand, RJD and JDU say that BJP is misrepresenting the whole thing. BJP is spreading lies by projecting that the holiday calendar announced by Bihar government for Urdu schools will be applicable in all schools. BJP believes in the politics of religion so it is giving a political color to this issue as well.

Pandian will not be Navin's political heir

Former IAS officer who took VRS in Odisha V.K. Pandian formally joined Navin Patnaik's BJD. 49-year-old Pandian is of Tamil origin but is married to Sujata Karthikeyan, an IAS officer from Odisha. Pandian is considered by many to be Naveen Patnaik's political heir but BJD sources deny this possibility. Assembly elections are held in Odisha along with the Lok Sabha. Navin Vikramsarjak will make no mistake when he enters the fray to become Chief Minister for the sixth time.

According to BJD sources , Navin wants to use Pandian to develop Odisha by bringing investment from outside. It is certain that Pandian will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

BJP used the commission to benefit KCR

The Congress is upset with the Central Election Commission ordering the closure of the Tu Bandhu Yojana run by the KCR government to help farmers in Telangana. Congress believes that Election Commission has taken this step at the behest of BJP to benefit KCR's party. On the other hand, KCR's party believes that this move will prove to be a masterstroke.

The commission had earlier allowed financial assistance to farmers for rabi crop but ordered them not to promote it. Because of this, KCR felt that he would not get any political advantage, so he broke the ideal code of conduct by campaigning through his minister. According to the arrangement made with the BJP, the commission banned the scheme. KCR's party is also campaigning that the plan has been stopped based on the complaint made by the Congress. Due to this, an impression has been created that KCR is helping farmers but Congress is obstructing it.
