NEW DELHI: Another legal battle between the Center and the Delhi government is set. After the Supreme Court gave the Delhi government the right to transfer and post officers, the central government issued an ordinance and again gave the right to transfer and post high officials to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. The Central Government has also filed an application in the Supreme Court to review the judgment given by the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court had ruled on May 11 that the Delhi government has the right to transfer and post group officials in Delhi. The central government has issued an ordinance to replace this judgment which provides that a National Capital Civil Services Authority will be created for the transfer and posting of officers. This authority will decide by majority vote on transfer and posting of officers. This authority will consist of Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs but the final authority will rest with the Lieutenant Governor.

Five promises of Congress will fall in 50 thousand crores

Within hours of the new Congress government taking oath in Karnataka, it has announced the fulfillment of five election promises. In the first meeting of the Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the implementation of the five guarantees was approved in principle. Due to this, there will be an additional burden of 50 thousand crore rupees on the treasury of the state government. From where to raise this amount is a big challenge for the Congress government. Congress sources say that the state government will make liquor more expensive by changing the excise policy and impose cess on IT companies.

Under Yuva Nidhi Yojana, unemployed graduates will be given Rs 3,000 per month and diploma holders Rs 1,500. Under Anna Bhagya, each member of a poor family will be given 10 kg of free rice while under Shakti Yojana, free travel for women in public transport buses will be provided.

Abhishek will be thrown in jail anytime
