Talking about Delhi: Shah Jahan was presented for political advantage

New Delhi: Sheikh Shahjahan, who became a headache for the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, has finally been caught after going missing for 55 days. According to sources, Abhishek Banerjee had instructed Shahjahan to surrender to the police following criticism by the Calcutta High Court.

Sources say that the Trinamool Congress is worried as the BJP raises the issue of Sheikh Shahjahan and his goons raping Hindu women and grabbing land. Abhishek has made Shah Jahan appear as it seems that this issue may not be discussed in the Lok Sabha elections. The Trinamool Congress reckons that the Lok Sabha elections are still more than a month away, so by the time the elections are announced, people will have forgotten Shah Jahan and the issue will have been put aside. Instead, the issue of CAA issued by the Modi government would have become bigger.

BJP candidate in SP Pandey Rae Bareli

There are indications that Manoj Pandey, who has resigned from the post of Samajwadi Party chief in Uttar Pradesh, will join the BJP. Sources of BJP say that BJP may make him a candidate to wrest the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat from Congress. Pandey is a veteran Brahmin leader who has been associated with the SP for the past three decades and has been elected from the Uchahar assembly seat in Rae Bareli three times in a row.

Pandey has alleged that the Samajwadi Party is constantly insulting Hindus. Pandey has also objected to Akhilesh not allowing the SP MLAs to visit the Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya along with Yogi Adityanath. Pandey says that despite the insulting remarks made by the Samajwadi Party leaders about Ramcharitmanas, Saraswati Maa, Maa Lakshmi, Lord Ram etc., Akhilesh Yadav did not allow him. I am sad because of not doing anything.

Hariprasad's defeat caused great resentment in the Congress

After winning the Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka, there has been a controversy over Congress leader Nasir Hussain's supporters raising slogans of Pakistan Zindabad, where B.K. Hariprasad has lost his temper. Veteran Congress leader Manata Hariprasad has said that Pakistan will be an enemy country for BJP but for Congress Pakistan is nothing more than a neighboring country. The Congress leader is upset with Hariprasad's statement and is advocating strict action against Hariprasad. BJP has raised the issue that Congress is talking anti-nationally.

According to Congress leaders, Hariprasad needs to keep his mouth shut and has given BJP an unwanted issue. Congressmen are also criticizing that leaders like Hariprasad do not have common sense that no Indian can tolerate that Pakistan, which has invaded India four times, is not India's enemy.

Resignation of second working president in Assam Congress

Assam Pradesh Congress Working President Rana Goswami resigned before the Lok Sabha elections, another blow to the Congress. In Assam, just a few days ago, another acting president and MLA Kamalakhya Dey Purkayasth resigned. In Assam, there is widespread discontent against Congress state president Bhupen Bora, but the high command is not taking any action against Bora, so one after another, veteran leaders are leaving the party.

Goswami, who has a good influence in Upper Assam, is likely to join the BJP on Friday. Sources claim that BJP will make Goswami a candidate for Jorhat Lok Sabha seat. Goswami is a former MLA from Jorhat. In 2019, BJP's Tapankumar Gogoi was elected from Jorhat seat. Sources also say that the BJP wants to bring Gogoi into state politics, so it will not give Lok Sabha ticket this time.

If he fails in the Lok Sabha, Sukhu will be removed

In Himachal Pradesh, the threat to Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu's Congress government was avoided for the time being by Bhupendra Hooda and D.K. Sivakumar pair has been successful. The two leaders have also taken back the resignation from the Sukhu government by persuading former chief minister Virbhadra Singh's son Vikramaditya. As the Sukhu government has also passed the budget in the absence of BJP MLAs, now no-confidence motion can be brought against the Sukhu government for three months, so the Congress has got three months time.

Congress sources say that late. Virbhadra Singh's wife Pratibha Singh and Vikramaditya have been persuaded to wait till the Lok Sabha elections. It has also been assured that after the Lok Sabha elections, the high command will sit with Pratibha and Vikramaditya and take a decision on giving Pratibha the chief ministership. Meanwhile, the high command is counting that the performance of the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government will also be tested in the Lok Sabha elections.

Sidhu's advice, do a massive cleanup in the Congress

Navjotsinh Sidhu has sparked a debate by asking the high command to carry out a large-scale cleanup in the wake of the rebellion in states including Himachal Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha elections. Sidhu said that the Congress needs to assess who is an asset and who is a liability for it. There is a need to keep the people who are useful for the Congress and weed out the rest.

Most of the Congress leaders agree with Sidhu. He says that the responsibility of the people sitting in big positions in the Congress is to strengthen the party but those people themselves are not strong. Apart from the leaders who survive in politics on the way to Rajya Sabha, Congress needs to field leaders who can win the party.

Abhishek Manu Singhvi belongs to the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty. Under these circumstances, Singhvi's defeat in the Rajya Sabha elections is also being expressed as a proof that this family has no hold on the Congress.

Flaws in the BJP-JD(S) alliance in Karnataka

There were five candidates for the state's four Rajya Sabha seats, including three from the Congress, while one BJP candidate secured his victory, JD(S) candidate Kupendra Reddy got only 36 votes, nine short of the required number of votes.
