Controversy after police removed LED screen from temple
A new controversy has arisen after the police removed the TV screens installed to watch live the Prana Pratistha program of Lord Sri Ram in Ayodhya in Tamil Nadu's Kamakshi Amman temple. BJP gets another chance to accuse DMK of being anti-Hindu in Tamil Nadu.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was supposed to sit in this temple to watch the live telecast of Pran Pratistha program but the police removed the LED screens.
The BJP alleges that the TVs were removed from the temple at the behest of the anti-Hindu DMK government in Tamil Nadu. BJP has also put videos on social media where the police are removing the LED screens. The police say that permission was not taken to install the LEDs in the temple. Considering that a large number of people were to gather in the program, as this was a law and order issue, prior approval was necessary.

Budget-session likely to be contentious
The last Lok Sabha session (January 31-February 9) before the next Lok Sabha elections is likely to be contentious, with the opposition keen to engage in debate to corner the government. An unprecedented 146 MPs were suspended from both houses in the last (winter) session. In the same session, there was a bitter experience of a huge breach in the security of the parliament, when two miscreants jumped into the house from the audience-durga with a container of tear gas! The opposition has indicated that it wants to participate in the debate on the motion of thanks on the President's speech and the interim budget in the budget session to be held on January 31. It is unlikely that issues other than the financial bill will be discussed in this session.
