Shockingly, 8 Indians hanged in Qatar for spying on Israel

- Fundamentalist Muslims are upset over India's pro-Israel stance and the clampdown on funds received by Muslim fundamentalists in India over the past few years.

- Eight ex-servicemen of the Indian Navy have doubts about amnesty given Qatar's approach over the past few years. Qatar has raised its head and challenged Saudi supremacy in the Middle East. A large section of Muslims are upset because Saudi is slowly reforming. Qatar has turned to extreme radicalism to take advantage of it. To scratch the itch of becoming the largest in the Arab world, Qatar is pandering to fundamentalists, treating non-Muslim countries as its enemies. Qatar considers even countries with good relations with Saudi Arabia as enemy countries. India has a Hindu government and the Narendra Modi government has very good relations with Saudi, so Qatar is also taking an aggressive stance towards India.

A court in Qatar has sent a death sentence to 8 ex-employees of the Indian Navy on charges of espionage. In August 2022, Qatar did not say what the charges were against the eight soldiers who had worked for years in the Indian Navy for months. These ex-Navy soldiers working for a private company in Qatar were kept in solitary confinement. That is, placed in such a way that no one can find them.

In March this year, they were charged with espionage and now the court has sentenced the eight to death. For almost a quarter of a year, the government of Qatar has declared the crime of 8 Indians or the government of India has not declared it. Now suddenly details have come out that these people were spying for Israel. The fact that such allegations were made public just as war broke out between Israel and Hamas has made Qatar's behavior suspicious.

Among those sentenced to death by Qatar are four former Indian Navy commanders and three former captains. The post of Captain is higher than Commander. Purnendu Tiwari, Sugunkar Pakala, Amit Nagpal and Sanjeev Gupta were commanders in four Indian Navy while Navtej Singh Gill, Birendra Kumar Verma, Saurabh Vashisht were captains. Ragesh Gopalkumar was a sailor, which is considered a relatively low post in the Navy, but considering that Commander and Captain are important middle level posts, 7 ex-servicemen held important positions. These eight people have served in the Indian Navy for more than 20 years.

Expressing shock at the Qatari court's verdict, India has prepared all necessary legal battles to release these Indians, but considering Qatar's approach in the past few years, there is doubt about the Indians getting amnesty. The Middle East was dominated by Saudi Arabia for years, but in the past few years, Qatar has raised its head and challenged Saudi supremacy. A large section of Muslims are upset because Saudi is slowly reforming. Qatar has turned to extreme radicalism to take advantage of it.

Qatar is pandering to fundamentalists to scratch the itch to become the largest in the Arab world. Because of this, Qatar treats all non-Muslim countries as its enemies. Second, Qatar considers countries with good relations with Saudi Arabia as enemies. India has a Hindu government and the Narendra Modi government has very good relations with Saudi, so Qatar is also taking an aggressive stance towards India.

Qatar welcomes fugitive fundamentalist preacher Zakir Naik with red carpet. Even when BJP leaders Nupur Sharma and Raja Singh made comments against the Prophet, Qatar took an aggressive stance and threatened India with stern action. Qatar has taken an anti-India stance, believing the rumor that Muslims are being persecuted in India to be true. Due to this, it is expected that the fundamentalist Muslims will be satisfied.

Analysts believe that the execution of eight ex-servicemen of the Indian Navy is part of this same strategy of Qatar. Israel has invaded the Gaza Strip in response to terror attacks by Hamas terrorists. India has supported Israel's stance but fundamentalist Muslims side with Hamas. Fundamentalist Muslims are upset over India's pro-Israel stance and the clampdown on funds received by Muslim fundamentalists from abroad in India over the past few years.

To appease fundamentalists, Qatar has indirectly warned India by executing Indians that if India leans towards Israel, Indians will have to pay the price. Until now no one knew that Indians were accused of spying on behalf of Israel. Now suddenly Qatar has sentenced Indians to death by proving them to be spies of Israel. In this way, Qatar has tried to establish itself as the messiah of the Muslims in the fight for Palestine. At the same time, India has been threatened to change its policy towards Palestine.

Qatar also objects to the Abraham Accords normalizing relations between the UAE and Israel. Saudi has supported this agreement. If India joins with Saudi-Israel-UAE, there is a threat against Qatar's dominance in the Middle East. Apart from this, Qatar is also suspicious of India's India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor. This corridor will pose a threat to Qatar's friends like China, Turkey and Pakistan. Due to this, Qatar is believed to be angry with India.

Qatar has gone to extremes and the big question is how India can deal with this. Qatar is a very small country. Qatar, with a population of only 28 lakhs, has no strength to stand against India militarily, but economically it has a lot of strength. The problem for India is that Indians are queuing in large numbers. Out of Qatar's population of 28 lakh, 8 lakh are Indians and more than half of them are Hindus. In the total population of Qatar, 15 percent of Hindus, i.e. 4.4 lakhs, are Hindus, all of whom are Indians. Millions of dollars come to India every year from Qatar. Qatar is the seventh largest supplier of crude oil to India. For all these reasons, India cannot afford to be aggressive against Qatar.

In these circumstances, India has to work hard. India began by clarifying that there was no change in its old policy of supporting the two-nation theory of Israel and Palestine. It has also sent humanitarian aid to Palestinians trapped in the Gaza Strip.

Let's hope that these efforts of India will bear fruit, Qatar's heart will melt and the lives of 8 ex-servicemen who served India will be saved.

Indians were working in submarine projects in Qatar Navy

Eight ex-servicemen of the Indian Navy were working in a private company called Dahra Global Technologies and Consultancy Services in Qatar. Owned by Khamis Al-Ajmi, a retired squadron leader of the Royal Oman Air Force, the company provided training and other services to the Qatari Armed Forces. Meaning, the company was directly linked to the Qatari Army.

These eight Indians were involved in the highly sensitive submarine project of the Qatar Navy. The Qatari Navy has signed an agreement with the Italian company Fincantieri SpA to build two diesel-electric submarines in 2021. Al-Ajmi was arrested along with the Indians in August when work was underway on a stealth MiGat submarine based on Italian technology. Qatar State Security has alleged that Indians were spying on this submarine project and giving details to Israel. This was known from his phone, email, message etc. Al-Ajmi was released after three months in November 2022 but the Indians were trapped. Al-Ajmi closed the company in April 2023 and started a new company, but the future of Indians was in doubt.

Indians are not allowed to meet anyone in jail

Qatar's treatment of 8 ex-servicemen of the Indian Navy is extremely shocking and inhumane. Qatar's intelligence agency, the State Security Bureau, informed the Indian embassy in September after the arrest in August. On September 30, Indians were not allowed to meet anyone after they were allowed to speak to their families for two minutes.

An official of the embassy was allowed to meet him on October 3 after the Indian embassy pressed him. After that, he was kept in solitary confinement and was not allowed to meet anyone. He was allowed to call his family every week but was not informed of the charges against him.

India and Qatar have had good relations for years. Although Indians are at the base of Qatar's economic development, this behavior of Qatar is said to be shocking.
