Talking about Delhi: Modi set the issue of BJP through 'Kabar'

New Delhi: By talking about the 'grave' in Meghalaya's Shillong, Narendra Modi has prepared the plan to make people emotional in the next Lok Sabha elections. Modi said that some people who have sunk in the pit of despair who have been rejected by the people of the country are chanting rosary these days. Those people say that Modi, your grave will be dug but the country is saying that, Modiji, your lotus will bloom.

Modi held a road show for BJP's campaign in Nagaland and Meghalaya assembly elections. Voting for the 60-60 assembly seats of Meghalaya and Nagaland is on February 27, while the results will be out on March 2. The Meghalaya government did not allow Modi's meeting in Tura citing security reasons, so Modi had to hold a road show.

According to political analysts, Modi's use of the word 'grave' is indicative. This is proof that no matter how much BJP talks about development, it is still dependent on Hindutva.

Instead of Sonia, Priyanka can contest from Rae Bareli

Congress president Sonia Gandhi has signaled her retirement from active politics at the Congress convention in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Sonia said in her address that I am happy that my tenure is coming to an end with Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Sonia has not clearly said that she will not contest the Lok Sabha elections, but Congress sources claim that Sonia will not contest the Lok Sabha elections. Consideration is going on to replace Sonia with Priyanka Gandhi from Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat. A decision will be taken after knowing Priyanka's opinion. Rae Bareli is considered a stronghold of the Congress since the time of Feroze Gandhi, so the Congressmen want a person from the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty to fight on it.

Sonia herself spoke about the ups and downs of her political career from the time she became the Congress president in 1998 till now. Sonia also said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra could prove to be a turning point for the Congress.

Empty talk of internal democracy in Congress

Congress has finally sat in the water after talking big about internal democracy. After the election for the Congress president, there was a long-standing debate about when the Congress Working Committee (CWC) elections would take place. There is disappointment among the Congressmen after the decision was taken not to hold CWC elections in the steering committee meeting of the Congress Congress which started in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The steering committee has empowered Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to nominate members to the CWC. It has also been decided that 50 percent members of the CWC will be from women, SC, ST, OBC and youth. No one from the Gandhi family was present in the steering committee meeting. Sonia and Rahul's absence is believed to prove that senior Congress leaders take important decisions independently and democratically.

According to Congress leaders, there was hope for internal democracy after Khadge became president through elections, but Khadge is also going the way of Sonia.

Clashes in MCD meeting a disgrace to democracy

The election of the mayor and deputy mayor of Delhi Municipal Corporation has just been held, now the chaos of the standing committee election has started. There were fights and hooliganism in the House even for the election of six members of the Standing Committee. After that, Mayor Shaili Oberoi has announced that the Standing Committee elections will be held on February 27 and has adjourned the House till then.

The BJP claims that the Election Commission officials declared that 3 members each from the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party were elected to the Standing Committee, but Mayor Shaili Oberoi is adamant about declaring one vote illegal. BJP alleges that Mayor is acting illegally. The matter has also reached the High Court where it will be heard on Monday.

The events that took place in the MCD meeting have tarnished the country. People are salivating at the sight of corporators fighting like street thugs.

Orders given by Saxena to officers unconstitutional

The government and the Lt Governor have come face to face again with Kejriwal government ministers in Delhi urging officials in their departments to stop taking direct orders from Lt Governor Saxena.

All the ministers of the Kejriwal government have given clear instructions to the secretaries and officers of their respective departments to strictly follow the Transaction of Business Rules. The order states that any order received from Lt. Governor Saxena is required to be intimated to the minister of that department. Implementing the unconstitutional direct orders of Lt. Governor Saxena would be violative of Rule 57 of the TBR as the order is not in accordance with the Constitution and Supreme Court directives.

All eyes are on how the lieutenant governor will respond, but legal experts believe that Kejriwal's stand is right. In Delhi, the Lt. Governor is not the head of the government, so he cannot directly issue orders to the officers. The Lt. Governor is acting unconstitutionally by ordering the officers.
