The Yogi government stopped scholarship in madrasas.


New Delhi: The Yogi government has taken a big decision and stopped the scholarship given to the students of class 1 to class 8 in madrasas. Till now, children of class 1 to 5 in madrasas were getting Rs 1000 while the children of the following classes were getting different scholarships according to different courses. was

The Yogi government believes that education from class 1 to class 8 is free under the Right to Education Act. Students are also provided with books and uniforms free of charge. Madrasahs also provide mid-day meal so no scholarship is required. Madrasah students received scholarships.

The Yogi government recently conducted a survey of madrassas and found 8496 madrassas unaccredited. The government has found a large number of unidentified madrassas in the border areas adjacent to Nepal. 500 madrasas have been found in Siddharthnagar, 400 in Balrampur, 400 in Bahraich and Sravasti, 200 in Lakhimpur, 60 unrecognized and paper-based madrassas in Maharajganj, bordering Nepal.
