Congress tries to create sympathy

- Rahul's reluctance to go to the high court
- Inside Story-Virendra Kapoor
- No one can stop Modi for 2024 if the opposition does not show unity in the battle of Karnataka
There is still no clarity on whether the Surat court will go to the higher court to stay the verdict against Rahul Gandhi in the defamation case. He can file an appeal in the Sessions Court of Surat against the two-year sentence imposed on him. Although Congress seemed to be in limbo in filing an appeal, but finally Jairam Ramesh asked to file an appeal and some clarity has been seen.
It is natural to go to the High Court in such a case, then one does not know why the wrongdoing is being created. It seems that some counsels are saying that instead of going to the High Court, going to jail as per the sentence given by the court can create a wave of sympathy and benefit the party. I don't know what these people are trying to do but it is a fact that they have got 30 days.
Here the case of Mohammad Faisal is worth understanding. An NCP member from Lakshadweep was sentenced on January 11. On January 13, his membership was revoked from the Lok Sabha. On January 25, the Kerala High Court stayed his sentence and resumed his membership. Rahul Gandhi also needs to go to the high court where he can get a stay.
Some people say that Rahul Gandhi has been jailed because he is being targeted. Some say that some elements against the Modi government have made Rahul a scapegoat. Most of the people associated with Rahul Gandhi say that the Supreme Court should go. It should also be admitted that some political parties tried to organize a movement across the country against the punishment of Rahul Gandhi but they did not get any support from the people. Counter-demonstrations were to be held across the country, but no special demonstrations were held in Rahul's constituency, even in Welland.
Rahul received an eviction notice from his bungalow after his membership was revoked from the Lok Sabha. People showed sympathy on this issue, why was the government in such a hurry? However, no matter how much sympathy Rahul Gandhi creates, it is important that it converts into votes. Many people believe that the Modi government has acted too hastily in Rahul's case. Due to this, the opposition has moved towards unity.
Here it should also not be forgotten that for the last two decades members of the Gandhi family have been elected as MPs but have yet to win the love of the people. His leadership could not attract people. Now when he has to stand against Narendra Modi who is popular, how will he face? So at this stage, it is like dreaming that he can face Modi.
In 1977, the Congress was hit by the sterilization controversy, but the party remained steadfast. Currently factions in the party are fighting like cats. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi has continued to target Modi. He keeps making accusations without having any proof. In Rahul's case, the opposition is supporting but people are busy with their work, staying away from the controversy. Modi-Shah duo can win elections. Now, if the opposition does not show unity in the battle of Karnataka, no one can stop Modi for 2024.
