Rewriting India's history is necessary?

- Comma

- History is the roots of any country, which binds the nation to its past, as well as guides it to a strong future.

Be it India or Greece, many warriors who became immortal due to their martial skills are today buried in books buried in dust in the corner of the library. If people watch Baahubali movie and think that if such a powerful warrior had come to India at the right time then the foreign people would be afraid to even think of invading India. The recent statement of the Home Minister seems to be the same. He remembered Assam's Unsung Warrior Lachit Barphukan during an election campaign rally. And also announced to rewrite the history of India. So the nation becomes great by rewriting history!

The history of any country also reflects its religion, education, society, politics, economy and judicial system. Through the medium of history, the development journey of that country, the ups and downs of the people's life, the conduct-thoughts and practices of that country, society are known. That is, history has the roots of any country that bind the nation to its past, as well as provide direction for its strong future.

The Home Minister suggested changing history. The same policy was mandated by the Canadian government in the 1990s. All history books were canceled and new books were written. The government's rationale was that heroic warriors were neglected in the history curriculum in schools. As a result, the children of the country do not have any special information about the country, so with the new books, the patriotism of the children will be awakened by the struggle of the people and the building of the country.

It is about a hundred touches of gold. Lachit Barphukan, an Assamese warrior who conquered the Ahom Empire 400 years ago, is not mentioned anywhere in history. No picture of him is also available in Assam. Historian S. K. According to Bhuiyan's book 'Lachit Burfukan and His Times', after seizing power in Delhi, Aurangzeb ordered a march to Assam to take back Mir Jumla, Subedar of Bengal, to Guwahati to re-establish the Mughal Empire over eastern India. After conquering Cooch Behar, Mir Jumla reached Assam in 1662. Assam was like a golden deer for the Mughals. From where materials such as ivory, long black pepper, gold jewelry musk and lac could be obtained. Along with this, the Mughals were also looking for a way to reach Tibet and China.

At that time Assam was ruled by the Ahom dynasty. An immortal warrior and a very valiant general of this race was Lachit Barphukan. Lachit Barphuk was educated in arts, literature and martial arts. He entered politics as a personal assistant of Ahom Swargadau Raja. Later Lachit Barphukan became a general on the basis of his merit and efficiency. After defeating Mir Jumla in 10 days, Aurangzeb sent many generals to fight the war, but Barphuk, armed with his own strength, defeated them all. Historian Bhuiya compares him to the warrior Achilles of Greece. He also mentions that the Assam government was content to institute the 'Lachit Barphukan Award' in his name only. This award is given to the best cadet of the National Defense Academy.

Thus Lachit Day is celebrated in Assam every year on November 24 to commemorate the victory of the Assamese Army and Lachit. BJP now wants to project this warrior as its new hero as part of planning ahead of Lok Sabha elections. Amit Shah also alleged that this warrior was neglected during the Congress rule.

Taking this issue into consideration in the elections, the Congress seems to have accepted that the problem in the party lies with the top leadership. If Rahul Gandhi allows even a single worker in the Congress to stand near him in an open jeep, he will become a contender for the post of chief minister even before the election. The only reason why BJP has achieved continuous success till date is that it has produced continuous workers and on the contrary, Congress has produced continuous leaders.

Gujarat Congress has been collapsing since time immemorial without real leadership. Ego comes first in Gujarat Congress, Congress comes second. Before faction, after party. BJP has started the national shopping of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This demand was also made by BJP in various state assemblies and it has achieved distinct political results. Now BJP is doing the same experiment at the national level. The political upheaval in Gujarat for the last one week is due to BJP's ready-made shopping policy. Lachit Borphukan is now regarded as the 'Chhatrapati Shivaji of Assam'.

Those who are 'Commercial Historians' are sitting down to remember Lachit. Even the mainstream media has realized its mistake. Every media house has a list of dignitaries in India and the world, with Excel sheets of events like birth dates, death anniversaries and first contributions ready. If no major event occurs, the program is run on the file of the celebrity that occurred on that date. Interviews are conducted with individuals who have worked with the celebrity. In this type of program, only a virtuous person is employed.

Alive but forgotten celebrities don't ask for much. For example, the American media did not let the world forget the name of Neil Armstrong until he was alive, but today if ten Indians are asked who Rakesh Sharma is, seven out of ten have not heard his name. The new generation hero is Rakesh Jhunjuwala.

This forest of ignorance has included a multi-barrel tank called WhatsApp as an ignorance machine, from which even the Prime Minister himself is not exempted from firing. WhatsApp was the reason that the film 'The Kashmir Files', which is extremely weak in terms of filmmaking, was heavily panned.

A situation arose where those who did not go to see the film were considered traitors and the film was completely forgotten. Now history is created on WhatsApp and citizens consider that creation to be the ultimate truth and rebuke it passionately and force their twenty relatives to consume it. This very dangerous cycle has started. It mocks textbooks, reference books and research papers. When a new and erroneous history is placed against a cumbersome library, the library seems to weaken. The truth seeker remains only a plaque of the society.
