Talk of Delhi: BJP gets Bombay High Court, Returning Officer

New Delhi: The BJP is happy with its three-seat victory in the Rajya Sabha elections in Maharashtra, but the BJP leader admits that nothing has happened as expected by the BJP leadership in the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA). The credit for the BJP's victory goes to the Bombay High Court and the Returning Officer appointed by the Election Commission who decided that the BJP would benefit.

Out of six seats in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress alliance Mahavikas Aghadi has won 9 and BJP has won 6. Mahavikas Aghadi's 6 and BJP's 4 candidates were considered victorious but there was a tussle for the sixth seat. BJP's Dhananjay Mahadik has won this seat against Shiv Sena's Sanjay Pawar. Dhananjay Mahadik got 31.8 votes and Sanjay Pawar got 4.5 votes. Thus there was a difference of two and a half votes between the two.

The Bombay High Court did not allow Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik and former minister Anil Deshmukh to vote in the Rajya Sabha elections. On the other hand, the vote of Shiv Sena's Suhas Kanda was declared invalid, so three votes of MVA were spoiled. The rest of Pawar would have won.

One of Rahul's followers defeated the other

The defeat of Ajay Maken in Haryana has stunned the Congress high command. Among the loyalists of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty who were given tickets in the Rajya Sabha elections, Ajay Maken is the only one who has lost. The high command is stunned because Rahul Gandhi's confidante Maken has been defeated due to the betrayal of Rahul's other confidant Kuldeep Bishnoi.

In Haryana, Bishnoi betrayed and Maken lost by voting for Kartikeya Sharma instead of Maken. The Congress had enough votes to win Maken, but Bishnoi's infidelity failed. Mackay even fed Laddu, believing his victory, but the result changed.

Rahul Gandhi had so much faith in Bishnoi that Bishnoi was not kept in the camp when he was shifted to Raipur in Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh so that the Haryana MLAs would not be torn apart by the BJP. Bishnoi was the first to vote directly from Delhi and also against the Congress. Even though Ram knows what the deal was between Sharma and Bishnoi, the Congress has got its nose cut off because of it.

Opposition candidate for the presidency?

With the Election Commission announcing the dates for the presidential election, political activity has intensified. As the BJP-led NDA has started a series of meetings to decide the presidential candidate, the Opposition has also joined hands to decide the candidate.

Some opposition parties have unanimously backed the NDA candidate to contest the presidential election but Congress is in favor of fielding a candidate. The Congress is said to have proposed to field its own or Trinamool Congress candidate. If the opposition is ready to support their candidate, then the Congress is ready to field Gulab Nabi Azad.

Congress leaders believe that it is easy to convince the opposition in the name of Gulab Nabi Azad. Azad has long been the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and has good relations with the Leader of the Opposition. Apart from this, Azad is a Muslim, so the Congress believes that even the opposition in South India cannot ignore his name.

Huge increase of 5% in DA

The government is worried about rising inflation. The middle class and government employees, the BJP's own loyal vote bank, have been hit the hardest by inflation, so the biggest question for the government is how to save them. The government is taking various steps to save this vote bank. As part of this, the government will in July increase the dearness allowance of government employees by a whopping 5 per cent. This will increase the salaries of government employees by about Rs 5,000.

The government has sought data from AICPI on rising inflation. The government usually gives three per cent D.A. But this time, according to the AICPI index, prices have risen sharply since March 203. The index has been rising steadily since March. This will lead to a five per cent increase in the DA of central employees.

If the government raises the inflation allowance by 5 per cent, the DA of employees will increase from 3 per cent to 5 per cent. The government increases the inflation allowance in January and July.

Appreciation of the ban on surrogate advertisements

The government has lashed out at 'surrogate' advertisements, praising the Modi government for taking action in the interest of the society. Surrogate is advertising that promotes harmful products in a way other than direct. Promoting alcohol under the guise of soda water or gutkha under the guise of cardamom are examples of surrogate advertisements.

Despite the ban on advertisements for all these products, they were widely advertised. Although these products were harmful to public health, they were not controlled. The government has taken control.

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has also issued new guidelines in this regard and started implementing them with immediate effect. The government has also banned child-targeted advertising and free advertising to entice consumers. The ban will hit celebrities, especially film stars, as such advertisements often feature stars.

Congress extended a hand of friendship to you?

The animosity between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party is well known. While both the Congress and AAP are attacking each other with such ferocity against the BJP, the Congress has surprised you by contacting you from the front. In the Rajya Sabha, Congress leader Mallikarjun walked against Khadge and went to meet AAP leader Sanjay Singh in the Rajya Sabha. The two talked for an hour and a half.

Both Khadge and Sanjay did not elaborate on the conversation but the Congress claimed that the visit was in the context of the presidential election. Congress president Sonia Gandhi has handed over the responsibility of persuading opposition leaders in the Rajya Sabha to Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Khadge, so Khadge met Sanjay.

Your sources deny this. "Congress is worried about your growing influence and wants to join hands with it," he claimed. You are saying that there is no question of meeting the opposition when the debate on who will be the candidate in the presidential election has not started yet.

Misleading Ads: Responsibility of Models

Well-known talents appearing in advertisements for products or services that mislead a large section of the society will now be held accountable and action will be taken against them, according to a draft of new guidelines enacted on Friday under the Consumer Protection Act. The new provision bans advertising for companies manufacturing alcohol and tobacco products. The Central Government has banned the publication of more articles in newspapers, magazines, TV and social media under the Consumer Protection Authority (Prevention of Misleading Advertisements and Necessary due diligence for endorsement of advertisements) guidelines. These guidelines also provide standard definitions of advertisements that are reasonable and valid.

Appeal to Muslims to stay away from TV-discussion

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has urged Muslim clerics and intellectuals not to participate in news debates on TV. This is his second statement in the following week after BJP spokespersons and TV anchors commented on Islam. The board said in a statement on Friday that some TV-discussions focused on Muslims. It is an insult to Islam. The participating ulema members have to bear the brunt, the statement added.

PMO unaware of Modi's move against mob lynching

The Prime Minister's Office has not been notified if any action has been taken in response to requests made by six celebrities in July 2015 to take action against mob lynchings and hate crimes. The Prime Minister's Office said in a statement in response to a request for information under the Right to Information Act. The issue was hotly debated at the time and a first-hand report (FIR) was lodged against the three talents following a complaint lodged by a BJP supporter against them. Hence this issue is important. These talents included Ramchandra Guha, Mani Ratnam, Aparna Sen, Shyam Benegal and Anurag Kashyap. After this, 15 more celebrities came in the field in support of these talents, who challenged to speak on a daily basis against the above vices. He spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was important for the people.

Confiscated assets of NGO engaged in Ponzi scheme

The ED (Enforcement Directorate) has seized assets worth Rs 4.5 crore from the Burdwan Sanmarg Welfare Organization (BSW) and others, which introduced a fraudulent Ponzi scheme for the people. The ED has taken this step under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The ED has launched an investigation into the money laundering case on the basis that the CBI, Kolkata had framed charges against the Burdwan Sanmarg Welfare Organization and others for prima facie offenses. The revenue from the crime of the above-mentioned organization with such intentions reaches around Rs 200 crore, the ED official said.

West Bengal BJP president under house arrest

Police did not allow West Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar to visit the violence-hit areas of Howrah on Saturday, citing the law and order situation in the wake of protests over suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma's controversial remarks. While the storms were vandalized in the BJP office, the Sukanta house was crossing the house to reach the scene, where the police set up obstacles outside their residence in Ishaan Kolkata, and they were stopped.
