Delhi talk: headache for allies BJP in UP

NEW DELHI: In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP has been tying up with one regional party after another but these alliances have become a headache for it. Yogi Adityanath is determined to contest 74 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP, leaving only six seats for regional parties. A major dilemma for the BJP is how to divide the six seats among the four regional parties of Anupriya Patel, Omprakash Rajbhar, Sanjay Nishad and Jayant Chaudhary. Even if BJP gives two seats each to all four, it will have 72 seats left for which Yogi is not ready.

Anupriya Patel and Jayant Chaudhary are not even ready to consider themselves as equals to Rajbhar and Nishad. He says that Rajbhar-Nishad should get one more seat each than what was given to them. Yogi has put the formula of giving one seat each to Rajbhar-Nishad and two seats each to Anupriya-Jyant to accept this condition.

Vikramaditya is likely to join the BJP and contest the elections

Amid claims that Congress MLAs have been persuaded in Himachal Pradesh, state president Pratibha Singh and his son Vikramaditya's tevar has rung alarm bells for the Congress. Pratibha has made a statement that in the Lok Sabha elections, Congress is looking weaker than BJP in the field and it does not have the strength to stand against Modi.

On the other hand, Vikramaditya Singh introduced himself as PWD Minister and MLA and wrote Himachal Ka Sevak in his social media accounts. Due to this, there are speculations that Vikramaditya will resign from Congress and join BJP and will contest as BJP candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha seat.

Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu called the MLAs for breakfast at his official government residence in the morning but Vikramaditya did not come. Due to this, the possibility is being expressed that Vikramaditya has decided to kill the Congress.

Three parties joined hands against BJP in Kashmir

The National Conference has decided to join hands with the Congress, refusing the condition of the central government to contest the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir along with the Lok Sabha elections. Congress, National Conference and Mehbooba Mufti's PDP will fight the Lok Sabha elections together.

Discussions are going on regarding the distribution of seats between the three parties. Congress sources claim that a decision will be taken in a week or so. The Supreme Court has asked to hold assembly elections by September.

Sources claim that out of the six Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, the National Conference wants to field its candidates in three Lok Sabha seats. In 2019, National Conference won Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag seats. These three meetings Dr. Farooq Abdullah's party is demanding but Congress has a claim on Anantnag. Jammu will go to Congress while Ladakh and Udhampur may go to PDP.

Biju will be given Bharat Ratna to convince Navin

Speculations are rife that the Modi government will give Biju Patnaik a boost for BJD to tie up with the BJP in Odisha. All the leaders, including Modi, have failed to convince Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who has been in power for the past 25 years in Odisha, to join the BJP. On the other hand, in Odisha, Naveen doesn't even think BJD can be defeated, so the BJP is said to have laid down its arms and offered Bharat Ratna to Naveen's father and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.

Assembly elections are held in Odisha along with the Lok Sabha. There is a three-way battle between BJD, BJP and Congress in Odisha. In the 2019 assembly elections, BJP got only 23 seats out of 147 seats while BJP got 8 seats out of 21 seats in Lok Sabha. As BJP cannot retain 8 seats this time on its own strength, Naveen is trying to surrender.

Legal battle over Gadkari video issue

A legal battle is expected over Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's video issue. Claiming that this video is misleading, Gadkari has issued a notice to Mallikarjun Kharge and Jairam Ramesh and asked them to remove the video within three days and apologize, but seeing that the Congress is not in a mood to remove the video, there are signs of a new legal battle. Congress says that there is no question of misleading videos after Gadkari is clearly saying that the condition of villages and farmers is bad.

In a video posted on the X account of Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, Gadkari is seen saying that today villages, laborers and farmers are suffering. The village has no good roads, no clean drinking water, no good hospital, no good schools. Congress has termed this video as a confession of injustice. Gadkari claims that the Congress has cut off the part where the BJP is making tireless efforts and getting good results.

Jaishankar will be contested from Gambhir's seat

East Delhi Lok Sabha MP Gautam Gambhir expressed his inability to contest the Lok Sabha elections and BJP president J.P. Nadda has requested to relieve himself from political duty. Sources of BJP say that Gautam Gambhir's seat was decided to be cut as BJP will not repeat any MP in Delhi. From Gambhir's seat, Foreign Minister S. It was decided long ago to contest Jaishankar, so even if the repeat formula of BJP was implemented, he would not be given a ticket. Gambhir was also informed about it, but he has been asked to announce this from the front to preserve his dignity.

Aam Aadmi Party has given ticket to Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar Monu from East Delhi seat. Even though Monu is a Dalit leader, Kejriwal has given him a ticket from a general seat, which shows Monu's influence in the area.

Wayanad: Now its king, knows about Rahul

The Left Democratic Front has fielded CPI(M) leader Annie Raja as its candidate for Kerala's Wayanad seat. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is the current MP here. In a press interview, she criticized Rahul and said that responsible citizens will scrutinize and analyze the performance of their current MP before voting. In the present pathetic situation of the country where all the basic pillars of Indian democracy have been undermined by the fascist forces, the Congress should also think about the benefits of fighting against the Left parties, he added.

Yuvakajsingh refuses to contest from Gurdaspur

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh (42) denied media reports that he would enter politics by contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Gurdaspur (Punjab), adding in a post on X that he wants to contribute to public works using various capacities. I will continue to do that service work using my UVCEN Foundation, he added. It is to be noted that there is a strong possibility that BJP will give a chance to a new face this time in place of actor Sunny Deol, the current MP of Gurdaspur.
