Talk of Delhi: Pujari Sangh in Karnataka against BJP

New Delhi: In Karnataka, the BJP opposed the Hindu Religious Institutions Act to create a wave of Hindutva and did not allow it to pass in the Legislative Council, but this bet is backfiring. The BJP has alleged that the Congress government in Karnataka is taxing the earnings of Hindu temples to fund Muslim institutions.

Akhil Karnataka Hindu Mandir Pujari Association has termed this claim of BJP as false. The association has also alleged that BJP is cheating Hindus by spreading bad propaganda. The association says that the tax on temple income is already there and the Congress government is changing its limits. BJP during its rule did nothing for the non-revenue temples or their priests. Now, when the Congress wanted to increase the salary of the priests by providing funds for these temples, the BJP has harmed the priests by not allowing the bill to pass.

Concern in Congress due to Rana's rebellion in Himachal

Congress is worried about veteran leader Rajendra Rana's rebellion ahead of Rajya Sabha elections in Himachal Pradesh. To convince Rana, Congress has offered a ministerial post, but Rana has refused to take the ministerial post. Rajendra Rana came into the limelight by defeating veteran BJP leader Premkumar Dhumal in the 2017 assembly elections. In December 2022, when Congress' Sukhwinder Sukhu formed the cabinet, Rajendra Rana's name was in the list of ministers but was dropped at the last minute. Calling it an insult to his voters, Rana has announced that even if he is given a ministerial post, there is no question of taking it.

In Himachal, Congress has fielded Abhishek Manu Singhvi for a Rajya Sabha ticket. On the basis of numerical strength, the Congress will win easily, but it is certain that the election will be held by the BJP fielding Harsh Mahajan who came from the Congress. Congress is worried that Rana's rebellion will hurt Singhvi.

Scindia was ignored by the BJP MP who inaugurated it

BJP MP in Madhya Pradesh crime K.P. BJP leaders and officials were stunned when Yadav suddenly inaugurated the passport centre. It was decided that Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia would inaugurate this passport service center, but ignoring it, BJP's own MP inaugurated it and Yadav and Scindia's supporters have come face to face. The conflict that started when Yadav defeated Scindia in the 2019 elections has intensified.

The funny thing is, K.P. Yadav also took coconuts, flowers, prasad and Pandit with him. From that, it is clear that Yadav had already decided to inaugurate.

Jyotiraditya Scindia was to inaugurate this passport center. During Scindia's visit a week ago, the program of the inauguration was also decided, but as some work was left, it was decided to hold the inauguration for a few days, but Yadav had already inaugurated it.

To stop Akhilesh, the BJP took Rivesh Pandey

Yogi Adityanath is said to be upset with Uttar Pradesh's Ambedkar Nagar Lok Sabha MP Rimesh Pandey joining the BJP. Yogi was not present on the occasion of Pandey joining the BJP and Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak made Pandey join the BJP.

Sources in BJP say that Yogi does not like Pandey because of casteism equations but Pandey is necessary for BJP. Ambedkar Nagar Lok Sabha Constituency consists of five assembly constituencies. The BJP returned to power after winning the 2022 assembly elections, but Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party won all five assembly seats in Ambedkar Nagar. Yogi's charisma spread throughout Uttar Pradesh but Akhilesh Yadav's hold could not be broken in Ambedkar Nagar. BJP wants to break this power by bringing Pandey. Before Pandey won in 2019, his father was also an MP, so BJP can win back this seat.

Dissatisfaction against Adhir playing a different bell from the High Command

In West Bengal, demands have started to suspend Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, who has taken a totally opposite stance from the Congress high command. Congress wants to tie up with Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress for the Lok Sabha elections. Congress National Spokesperson Jairam Ramesh hinted at it.

Chowdhury has taken a different tone and said that I want to fight the Lok Sabha elections in Bengal by joining the Left Front. I don't know if there has been any meeting between the Congress leadership and Mamata Banerjee for an alliance but I have already started talks with CPM's Mohammad Saleem about seat sharing.

Sources close to Chaudhary claim that Mamata wants to give two seats. On the other hand, the Left is ready to give 20 seats, so an alliance with the Left is imperative. According to Chaudhary's detractors, Mamata is guaranteed to win two seats while no matter how many seats the Left gives, the Congress is bound to lose and therefore should ally with Mamata.

The central government is in limbo on the issue of elections in Kashmir

The Modi government has been active in complying with the Supreme Court's order to hold assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir by September 2024. Of course, there is uncertainty about when to hold elections. A section of the BJP believes that along with the Lok Sabha, the Kashmir Assembly elections should also be held in April-May. Another section believes that elections should be held in July-August, two months after the Lok Sabha elections. BJP will have won with a clear majority in Lok Sabha so it will also affect Kashmir and BJP will benefit. However, due to the monsoon in July-August, there will be trouble in polling at that time, so the government is confused.

BJP sources say that the government has an option to request the Supreme Court to extend the September term by six months. If the Supreme Court approves this request, it is calculated that elections can be held in February-March next year.

SP-Congress alliance unethical: UP BJP chief

Uttar Pradesh BJP president Bhupendra Chaudhary dismissed the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance as unethical and claimed that their alliance will not make any difference in the Lok Sabha election results. After the election, these two parties will blame each other for their inevitable defeat. They will criticize each other for not getting votes in the elections. While Congress leader Rahul Gandhi continues to sing love propaganda songs, he also has to say what can be said about the role of his partner Samajwadi Party in the 2013 riots in Muzaffarnagar. Rahul seems to have forgotten his own comments about the then Samajwadi Party, added Bhupendra Chaudhary.

The mention of peasant-movement was opposed

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday virtually opened AIIMS in Bathinda, Punjab from Rajkot. The event was attended by Harsimrat Kaur, a Lok Sabha MP here, leader of the Akali Dal and former Union Minister of the Modi government, Harsimrat Kaur, who mentioned the farmers' movement in his speech. Some people gathered here to watch the webcast AIIMS program tried to stop Kaur from speaking about it. People shouted loudly that this is not a political platform to talk about the agitating farmers. Talk about health and AIIMS, chanted the protestors.

Excise policy case: Kejriwal also rejected the 7th summons

The ED (Enforcement Directorate) of the Central Government feels that there are irregularities in the Excise Policy of the Delhi Government for the year 2021-22, due to which there is suspicion of financial manipulation (money laundering). Therefore, he sent summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the seventh time on Monday and asked him to appear on February 26. Sources said that the ED should have waited for the court order instead of issuing repeated summons. Geeta, whose summons have been being sent to Kejriwal since November 2, has alleged that the ED's summons notice is vague, biased and legally unsustainable.

Rajya Sabha Elections: Cross Voting in Karnataka

The BJP and the Janata Dal (Secular) lost by a landslide in the recently held elections for the only seat of the teacher-constituency in the Karnataka Legislative Council. These two opposition parties, who are infuriated by this, have started trying all political tactics to prevent the next Rajya Sabha election to be held in Karnataka on February 27 (tomorrow Tuesday)...! NDA's Rajya Sabha candidate D. Kupendra Reddy is four votes short of being elected. Therefore, the Karnataka leaders of BJP and Janata Dal (S) are trying to sabotage the MLAs of the ruling party Congress in the state and pull them to their side.

Vote for BJP in Rajya Sabha elections: RLD signal

Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Uttar Pradesh Legislative Party leader Rajpal Balian said that all nine RLD MLAs will vote for BJP candidates in the February 27 Rajya Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. There is no truth in the reports of disagreement in the RLD on this issue, added Balian.
