Martyrdom of Russian Navalny.

The death under suspicious circumstances in prison last week of Alexei Navalny, one of Russian President Vladimir Putin's staunchest opponents, was at least surprising, given that Putin considered him a more staunch enemy than the United States. He returned to Russia in 2021 after surviving an assassination attempt abroad. After that, his supporters and fans at home and abroad were afraid that news of his death could come anytime. However, Putin's regime is not perceived as a threat in Russia despite the questions being raised around the world. One of the reasons for this is that after Navalny's death, the axis around which anti-Putin elements were likely to gather has ended. Second, even on the Ukraine war front, President Putin still appears to be in a very strong position. Saturday's announcement of the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the eastern Ukrainian city of Avdivka is being seen as Russia's biggest breakthrough in nearly a year.
The truth is that whatever little opposition there was to Putin within Russia gradually weakened. One by one all its main opposition leaders are either dead or in jail or exile. A recent example of this is the little-known liberal leader Boris Nadezhdin, whose signature anti-war platform campaign was attracting the support of tens of thousands of Russians. He was barred from contesting the presidential election this month. Presidential elections in Russia have never proved challenging for any president, let alone Putin. Where there is no victory challenge for the incumbent, the country's democracy gradually declines. In such a situation, the presidential election to be held next month is being considered as a mere formality, in which Putin's victory is almost certain.
But Navalny's death in prison has certainly earned him martyr status among democracy supporters around the world. This is also considered a major event from the perspective of Russian society, as the modern and contemporary era lacks inspiring personalities who can strengthen democratic struggles. It is clear that it may not have any immediate effect in Russia, but Navalny's death has shaken the world's democratic and human rights consciousness. Putin is a warlord. Russia's defense spending has now reached one hundred billion dollars. This is a double budget compared to the previous year. This amount is one-third of the total public expenditure of the Russian government which is very high.
Russia has fired dangerous missiles at electrical infrastructure. New drone strikes have claimed many more civilian lives. Basically, this struggle is about the replacement of America as the world leader. On several occasions earlier, China has knocked heads like an ant-ridden snake to prove its supremacy, but has not been able to defeat America's supremacy. When Russia was fragmented, everyone assumed that the Russian ideology was also fragmented. However, the capitalist imperialism hidden at the root of communism is still the soul of Russia. For the past few days, America has been having a conversation. It threatened Russia, but only to protect its own citizens.
Even the spokespersons of the NATO countries are constantly talking in circles. The Prime Minister of Ukraine is pictured wandering the border blindfolded, as he clearly does not know who will come to his aid at the last minute. The military sent to Ukraine by various countries, including the United States, is an absurd and ridiculous choice. Foreign kumaks who have arrived in Ukraine are of no value against Russia, which looms as an enemy from all sides. India is an ancient friend of Russia and that friendship has recently been updated. That is why India has maintained independence. Just as China's manipulations cannot remain hidden and are exposed, Russia too cannot hide in an impenetrable shield. The reach of media and social media has increased tremendously. Any scam may not reach the bottom right away, but in the course of time, it does not remain undisclosed in the square of the world one day or another.
