The tangled situation in Manipur is no deterrent to the rioters

- Need to find support for rioters in Manipur

- The Inside Story

- Unrest will continue until the looted 6000 arms and ammunition are returned

Manipur is a burning issue of the country and an important issue for opposition parties to bully the government. The walkout by the opposition during the debate on Manipur in the Lok Sabha has proved that the opposition is more interested in creating a ruckus. Recently Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav said that if there is peace in Manipur, then why is there no meeting of G-20 there? Akhilesh is talking like he is talking. The government held the G-20 meeting in Kashmir and signaled to the people that everything is safe in Kashmir.

Akhilesh's idea is good but not very mature. Manipur is the problem of the country. It cannot be tied with political threads. Manipur is a very sensitive issue. Akhilesh had raised the issue of Manipur in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and the same issue was raised in the Delhi Legislative Assembly. State governments are debating national issues instead of devoting time to discussing their local problems.

Even today Manipur is in turmoil. Army people do not take strict action against local people. Movement from the Myanmar border has been stopped. Opium dealers and border infiltrators have fled and are hiding in Myanmar.

The central government of Delhi is also keeping a watch on Manipur. It is also a fact that there is no immediate solution. The opposition delegation has also gone to Manipur but no concrete solution has been shown. Everyone has only one wish to change the Chief Minister of Manipur. But it could make opium dealers more vulnerable.

Opposition Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogai has said very important thing that there will be unrest till the 6000 weapons which have been looted are not returned. There is breath in Gogai's talk. There will be unrest till the recovery of weapons capable of firing six lakh rounds, not just 6000, as rioters will be able to use them easily. The rioters are trained to use weapons.

Since last May 3rd, where there is unrest, fighting with weapons is going on. The fact that no settlement has been initiated for a long time is also increasing the unrest.

Hundreds of women of Kangpokpi district have been protesting on the National Highway for the last two days and blocking traffic. Women are protesting after the killing of three people in Thowai village of Ukhrul district. It is alleged that these three people were killed two days ago. The killings, after the Chief Minister of Manipur had asked him to adopt a forget-and-forgive policy, had shaken the atmosphere that was moving towards peace.

If there are links of elements outside the country in Manipur, the central government should arrest or expose them. We also need to find out who is making a fuss in Manipur even in small Myanmar. The central government does not seem to be active in Manipur yet. The army has failed against the rioters. The local people of Manipur do not have the courage to loot the arsenal, hence the suspicion that terrorist elements are also mixed with the rioters.
