Online gambling is openly played and audio gambling is discredited

- Online gaming loots the country through money laundering

- Occasional

- When there were no means of entertainment at hand, people used to play cards to pass the time

Celebrations of Chomer Janmashtami are being seen. This is an important festival of Shravan month, but Shravaniya gambling has been unknowingly associated with it. Unfortunately, audio gambling is played only once a year, while online gambling is played round the clock. When Shravania is caught gambling, the society hates them, they are vilified as gamblers. Shravaniyo gambling is like earning season for the police, but the police cannot take any action against the online gamblers.

It can be said that audio gambling is associated with the old generation while online gambling (gambling) with the new generation. Five-seven people who gamble in Shravani will be caught barely five-six thousand rupees, while some of the online gamblers are betting in lakhs. It is not intended here to compare shravanio gambling and online gambling, but both these issues like pollution of society have flourished under the guise of birth of God. When money is involved in a game, it becomes gambling.

People who fast in the month of Shravan do agatan or faral and then play cards to refresh themselves mentally when there is some time left after worship. Not everyone plays with money, but it is believed that all card players are gamblers.

When entertainment devices like TV, internet, smartphones etc. were not handy, people used to play cards to pass the time. As all these have been modernized, the matter has reached casinos and online gaming. All these are ideas born from the concept of gambling. In all these crores are gambled, but the notorious Shravanis are becoming gamblers.

Advertisements for playing online games are seen on TV and internet. 200 rupees cash is immediately deposited in the account of those who register in some games or apps. Thus, game players are invited. Just as in big clubs loan money is given to losers to play more, instant online loan facility is provided in online gaming.

Two days ago, the Enforcement Directorate raided 14 companies involved in online gambling and seized transactions worth Rs. According to an estimate, the online gaming market will cross 2.32 billion rupees in 2025. Fantasy sports market is highest in India. It has 180 million users. In 2022, the total number of online gamers in India was 421 million. In 2023, this figure has reached 442 million. Three Indian start-ups have become gaming unicorns, including Game247, Dream11 and Mobile Premium League.

Online gaming industry is considered as a part of the entertainment industry, but under its guise, vices like money laundering have flourished. Online gaming players have evaded taxes worth Rs 12,000 crore. The gaming industry expressed its displeasure when the central government imposed a goods and services tax on online gaming, but the finance minister said he would think about it after six months and went ahead with the tax. Police complaints have also been filed against online gaming companies caught in money laundering. Earlier, the Indian government had banned 138 betting platforms of the country, including foreign ones.

Online gaming has been banned in Tamil Nadu. Some states have banned online gaming and betting ads.

Auditory gambling has come to be a traditional game. It is an innocent game yet the police force is cracking down on them obsessively, while online gaming is also looting the country through money laundering yet the police cannot take direct action against them. No matter how hard the police try, audio gambling continues, while online gaming is beyond the reach of the police.

Shakuni was a master at gambling. He defeated brave men like Yudhishthira, the chief of the Pandavas, in gambling. Not every gambler can be called Shakuni. All aspects of life are like gambling, so one should play it with patience.

It is better if the opposition does not falsify the age-old saying that there is strength in the organization!
