There was a lot of uproar in Bihar some time ago when the Nitish Kumar government changed the law to release gangster-cum-politician Anand Mohan Singh from jail. Now BJP has done the same in Uttar Pradesh and it is clear from that that the crows are black everywhere and the leaders are all the same. Amarmani Tripathi, a notorious gangster in UP politics, and his wife Madhumani were sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Amarmani's lover, poetess Madhumita Shukla. Amarmani and Madhumani have been in jail for the past 20 years in this case. The BJP government of UP has decided to release both in the name of good conduct.

Madhumita's sister Nidhi Shukla appealed to the Supreme Court against the decision to release Amarmani and Madhumani, but the Supreme Court did not grant a stay. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the UP government and scheduled the hearing after 8 weeks, thus clearing the way for Amarmani and Madhumani's release. Both will be out of jail in a day or so after the legal formalities. The opposition of UP has protested against the release of Amarmani and Madhumani, but it is certain that the government of UP will not consider it as Nitish heard the dekara from one ear and dismissed it from the other ear.

After years of Amarmani Tripathi's release there is a stir in UP politics as Amarmani Tripathi is considered to be the boldest Brahmin leader in UP. Although Amarmani and Madhumani have been in jail for the past 20 years, the power of the Tripathi family has not diminished.

Brahmin vote bank is huge in UP politics. As the BJP ditched Tripathi because of this vote bank, discussions are raging on how Amarmani's entry in the Lok Sabha polls will change the political equations.

Congress leader Harishankar Tiwari is credited with criminalizing UP politics. Tiwari changed the picture of UP politics by pitting Brahmin gangsters against the headstrong Thakurs in UP. Amarmani is one of the gangster-cum-politicians who grew up with Tiwari's blessings. Amarmani started his political career as a student leader.

Amarmani, who started his career from Yogi Adityanath's city of Gorakhpur, first fought against Tiwari's opponent and gangster Virendra Pratap Shahi in 1980 but lost. Amarmani lost in 1985 too, but gradually started making a name for himself in hooliganism, so Congress caught his eye.

In 1989, Congress gave ticket to Amarmani and he won for the first time and became MLA. Amarmani lost in 1991 and 1993 but became an MLA again in 1996 on a Congress ticket.

At that time there was a BJP-BSP government in UP, so Amarmani left the Congress and joined the BJP to become a minister. After coming in contact with Madhumita, he became physically involved with her. After being sacked by BJP Chief Minister Rajnath Singh following his involvement in the kidnapping of a top businessman in 2001, Amarmani joined the BSP and became a minister. When his name came up in the Madhumita murder case, Mayawati was a minister in the government, so he tried hard to suppress the case, but in August 2003, the government changed and after Mulayam Singh became the Chief Minister, he was arrested. After Amarmani was jailed, everyone abandoned him. Because of that, he was finally found guilty in this case.

Due to the Amarmani Madhumita case, many other cases of murder, kidnapping etc. have been registered against her.

As a top gangster-cum-leader in UP, he created a lot of awe. It is because of this awe that BJP needs him now. Amarmani and Madhumani's son Amanmani is not politically powerful but he preserves Amarmani's bully empire. Due to this, Tripathi has a huge influence in Purvanchal.

As Amarmani has been sentenced to life imprisonment, he will not be able to contest the election, but since Tripathi has a huge influence on the Brahmin voters of Purvanchal, it is clear that the BJP will use him in the Lok Sabha elections. In Purvanchal, the BJP has brought in veteran OBC leaders like Omprakash Rajbhar and Darasinh Chauhan from the Samajwadi Party. Because of that the OBC vote bank will shift towards him. Because of Amarmani, the Brahmin vote bank will also be strengthened, so it is calculated that BJP will have a clean sweep in Purvanchal.

- Amarmani's son accused of murdering first wife

Amanmani, the son of Amanmani, has matured to say good things to his father. Amanmani was an MLA in the UP Assembly in 2017 but lost in the 2022 elections. Amanmani's love story also created a lot of discussion. In 2012, Amanmani met Sara Singh, daughter of a rich family of Lucknow and fell in love. As Amanmani and Sara's family was against the marriage, Aman-Sara got married in Arya Samaj in 2013.

Aman-Sari's love story came to a sad end after only two years. In 2015, Amanmani-Sara was traveling from Lucknow to Delhi when Sara died in an accident. Amanmani was not even hurt in the accident.

Sara's family alleged that Amanmani had killed Sara. Amanmani was in the Samajwadi Party. Akhilesh Yadav filed a case of kidnapping against Amanmani and sent Amanmani to jail in a short time. As the uproar over the issue continued, the investigation of the case was finally handed over to the CBI. Meanwhile, the election came in which SP did not give ticket to Amanmani. As Amanmani won by standing as an independent and supported the newly formed Yogi Adityanath government, the CBI investigation got lax and the investigation is still pending.

It is said that Sara wanted to become an actress. Amanmani is ready for everything, so Sara is tensed. Amanmani is said to have settled that if Sara had to give a divorce, she would have to give a large portion of the property. Amanmani got married again in 2020 with a girl named Oshin Pandey.

Amarmani and his wife were jailed for life in the murder case of poetess Madhumita Shukla. Madhumita of Lakhimpur Khiri used to write poems and attend local poet conventions. In the meantime, I got acquainted with Amarmani. Although Madhumita was 21 years old while Amarmani was 45 years old, the two became close. Amarmani was a minister in the Mayawati government at that time so due to Amarmani Madhumita started getting importance so Madhumita completely surrendered to Amarmani. The two had physical relations and Madhumita became pregnant. Amarmani advised her to have an abortion but Madhumita was not ready.

Amarmani killed Madhumita on May 9, 2003, fearing that her political career would suffer if Madhumita had a child. 24-year-old Madhumita was seven months pregnant when two assailants barged into Madhumita's house and shot her dead. Amarmani was a minister in Mayawati's government at the time of the murder.

Mayawati tried hard to save Amarmani, but due to the investigation of IPS officer Mahendra Lalka, Amarmani was killed. Mayawati suspended Lalka but had to take it back after a month and a half due to huge backlash. Based on Madhumita's diary and DNA report, Amarmani, Madhumani, Amarmani's nephew Rohitmani and two shooters Santosh Rai and Pawan Pandey were found guilty in this case.
