Talk of Delhi: Boycott of NITI Aayog meeting by 4 Chief Ministers

New Delhi: Chief Ministers of four states boycotted the Niti Aayog meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, Nitish Kumar and K. Chandrasekhar Rao was absent from this meeting. The four Chief Ministers took this decision in opposition to the central government's ordinance on transfer-posting of officials in Delhi. Kejriwal also appealed to other Chief Ministers for boycott but only KCR and Nitish Kumar remained absent in his support.

Kejriwal wrote a letter to the Prime Minister and informed about the boycott in advance. Kejriwal wrote that there is no point in attending the NITI Aayog meeting when the Constitution is being openly mocked. The entire country is protesting against the central ordinance. People are asking that, if the Prime Minister does not accept the Supreme Court's verdict, where will we go for justice?

Issues like health, skill development, women empowerment were discussed in the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting chaired by Narendra Modi.

Will the opposition give a parallel program to the inauguration?

While the inauguration of the new Parliament building is scheduled to take place on Sunday, on the other hand, there is talk that the opposition, including the Congress, is planning to give a surprise program. No official announcement has been made in this regard, but the Delhi Police has been running after reports that the opposition will hold a parallel program at Rajghat, Mahatma Gandhi's mausoleum.

The central government has left no stone unturned to make the inauguration program of the new Parliament building memorable, but the government is concerned that negative programs do not get publicity. For this, the system has been asked to remain silent.

21 saints of Dharmapuram Adhinam from Chennai will come to Delhi to attend the inauguration program of the new Parliament and to present the golden scepter i.e. Sengol to Modi. Prime Minister Modi is also going to release a 75 rupee coin on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Parliament building. On one side of this coin there will be an Ashoka pillar with 'Satyamev Jayate' written below it. 'Bharat' in Devanagari script on the left and 'Bharat' in English on the right.

Boseraju's loyalty to the high command paid off

The newly elected Congress government in Karnataka was expanded and 24 new ministers took oath. The most surprising choice in this oath ceremony is N. Boserajuni is. Boseraju, who has been in the All India Congress Committee (AICC), is currently not a member of the Legislative Council or the Legislative Assembly, but has been selected. He is said to have been given the opportunity in recognition of his decades of work for the Congress. Boseraju is considered to be a factional leader and the main liaison between the state Congress and the high command.

Boseraju's son had sought a ticket from the Raichur City seat, but the seat was given a ticket to a Muslim candidate due to the large number of Muslim voters. Boseraju seated his son without any dispute.

Congress will make Boseraju a member of the Legislative Council. Sources say that B.K. Hariprasad has been instructed to vacate the Legislative Council seat to make way for Boseraju.

The High Court will rule on the powers of the Reserve Bank

The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear on Monday a public interest petition challenging the Reserve Bank's decision to withdraw Rs 2,000 notes from circulation. An advocate has raised an important point in his plea that the Reserve Bank has no independent power to take such a decision under the RBI Act. The lawyer of the Reserve Bank argues that the decision to stop demonetisation of the two thousand rupee note is not demonetisation but only a currency management exercise.

BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay has also filed an application in the Delhi High Court against the orders of Reserve Bank and State Bank to exchange notes without documents. Upadhyay has demanded not to allow exchange of two thousand rupees notes without any identity proof. A bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and J Subramaniam Prasad is scheduled to deliver a verdict on the issue on Monday. The High Court has scheduled the hearing of the new application on Monday with the lawyer of the Reserve Bank in charge of this application.

The Supreme Court decided to arrest Abhishek without giving relief

Mamata Banerjee's MP and MP Abhishek Banerjee have got partial relief from the Supreme Court in the West Bengal teacher recruitment scam case. The Supreme Court has refused to stay the investigation of ED and CBI in this case but stayed the Kolkata High Court's order imposing a fine of Rs 25 lakh. The Calcutta High Court on May 18 allowed investigating agencies to interrogate Banerjee. Now this matter will be heard after the vacation.

Sources claim that the arrest plan of Abhishek is ready in this case. ED and CBI are questioning Abhishek and preparing the arrest plan. The CBI interrogated him for 9 hours on May 20. Abhishek appealed to the Supreme Court to give an order that the agency does not use any coercion against him, but the Supreme Court did not give such an order, which opened the way for his arrest.

All eyes on Rahul's trip to America

On one hand, the inauguration of the new Parliament building is on Sunday, while on the other hand, Rahul Gandhi will leave for America on Sunday itself. Rahul will attend an event at Stanford University in the US and then meet the NRIs. All eyes are on what happens this time as Rahul's foreign trips create controversy.

As this is Rahul's first trip after the Congress's victory in the Karnataka assembly elections, all eyes are also on how Indians living abroad respond to Rahul. Rahul uses foreign platforms to get international publicity by attacking the Modi government.

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court allowed Rahul Gandhi's application to issue a new passport, and the obstacle to Rahul's foreign travel has been removed. Rahul's normal passport will be valid for three years. Rahul surrendered his diplomatic passport and demanded a normal passport after his membership in Parliament was revoked in a defamation case.
