Talking about Delhi: Gehlot reached Kochi to convince Rahul

New Delhi: When the notification for the election of the Congress president is to be released on Thursday, now it seems that Ashok Gehlot will become the new Congress president instead of Rahul Gandhi. Ashok Gehlot has indicated that he will sit as the president in the meeting of Congress MLAs of Rajasthan.

Ashok Gehlot said in the meeting of the Congress assembly party that I will meet Rahul for the last time and try to convince him. If Rahul does not agree, I will follow the orders of the high command. Sonia Gandhi wants to make Gehlot the national president under the circumstances, according to Rahul.

From this meeting, Gehlot left for Delhi on Wednesday morning. In Delhi, Gehlot left for Kochi in the evening after holding meetings with senior leaders. In Kochi, Gehlot will try to convince Rahul Gandhi to sit as president and will also participate in the yatra. Congress sources say that Gehlot tried to convince Rahul to stand in the presidential election but Rahul did not agree. Under these circumstances, Ashok Gehlot will file his candidature on Friday.

Gehlot's opposition to making Pilot the Chief Minister

While it is almost certain that Ashok Gehlot will become the National President of the Congress, a tussle has started in the Congress over who should replace him as the Chief Minister. Sachin Pilot is considered the strongest contender but Gehlot doesn't want Pilot so a war is sure to happen.

Presently, apart from Sachin Pilot for the post of Chief Minister, Assembly Speaker C. P. Joshi's name is also in discussion. Apart from this, state president Govind Dotasara, minister BD Kalla may also get a chance as both are close to Gehlot. Of course, Congressmen believe that Sachin Pilot is more deserving. Rahul and Priyanka are also in favor of the pilot.

Assembly elections will be held in Rajasthan next year in 2023. If Pilot is not made Chief Minister, he may leave the Congress. If the pilot leaves the Congress, there will be a huge loss. Gehlot is not ready to resign from the post of Chief Minister of Rajasthan, but if the 'one person, one post' formula is implemented, he will have to step down.

It is unlikely that Azam will be jailed again

There are rumors that Uttar Pradesh Samajwadi Party MLA Azam Khan will be jailed again. Thousands of stolen books have been found by the police after it was reported that valuable stolen books were hidden in the walls of Azam's Mohammad Ali Jauhar University. These books were stolen from the Madrasa Alia library of the Oriental Inter College and the case was filed in 2019.

Madrasa Aliya Library was established in 1774 by the Nawab of Rampur. Based on the complaint filed by the principal of the madrasa, the police let Anwar and Salim in. They admitted that there were books in the elevator shaft of the university campus building. The police have found very valuable books hidden during the investigation.

Management of Oriental College said that 10,633 books were missing from the college in 2016. About two and a half thousand books have been received from the university. No complaint has been filed against Azam Khan in this case yet but the Yogi Adityanath government will not miss this opportunity to make rumors about Azam.

Will Nitish go to Lok Sabha after handing over throne to Tejashwi?

Speculations are rife that Nitish Kumar will enter national politics by making Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Minister in Bihar. There are also rumors that Nitish will contest from Phulpur or Mirzapur seats in Uttar Pradesh.

However, Nitish Kumar has clearly said that it is wrong that he is going to contest from Phulpur or Mirzapur Lok Sabha seat. His aim is to unite all opposition parties against BJP and he is working in that direction.

There is talk in Bihar politics that, like Narendra Modi, Nitish can also take the UP route to reach the throne of Delhi. There was also a discussion that Nitish Kumar would contest the elections from Phulpur or Mirzapur seats, which have a majority of Kurmis. JDU also put up posters supporting the matter. Nitish Kumar himself is calling all these talks as rumours.

JDU sources say that Akhilesh Yadav has invited Nitish to contest from UP, so the talk of contesting from Phulpur or Mirzapur is not baseless.

Fortnightly review of petrol-diesel tax

The Modi government is planning to implement a policy of reviewing the tax on petrol-diesel every fortnight. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the government will now review the new taxes imposed on crude oil, petrol and diesel and jet fuel every 15 days. Of course, Sitaram did not clarify whether it also includes excise or not.

Government sources say that the problems of the people have increased due to the exorbitant prices of petrol and diesel, so this policy will be implemented to keep the prices stable. The tax will be reduced when the price of crude oil increases and the tax will be increased when the price decreases so as to control the prices. The government had to take this decision due to the huge fluctuations in crude oil prices globally. The Modi government has now withdrawn the tax on petrol-diesel exports, but the tax may be imposed again to control prices. The Modi government also imposed tax on exports of petrol, diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) from July 1.

Last April, on the 21st foundation day of his party, KCR made an indirect reference to the aforementioned new party for the first time. Kejriwal's behavior before the President

30 retired police officers have written to President Draupadi Murmu, complaining against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's alleged inappropriate comments against the Gujarat police force. However, Kejriwal's AAP party has expressed the tone that BJP is behind this movement. Arvind Kejriwal's decision to use an autorickshaw to go to his home to meet an autorickshaw driver, who visited Gujarat on September 12 last in connection with the election campaign in Gujarat, has been mentioned in the letter to the President.
