Comedian Raju Srivastava, who has been making people laugh for more than two decades, has finally passed away. On August 10, Raju Srivastava collapsed due to a heart attack while exercising in a hotel gym in Delhi. He was immediately taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) by his gym trainer, so he survived, but his condition was critical, so he was kept in the ICU.

Angioplasty was also done on August 10 when Raju was in the ICU. Although he had to be moved to a ventilator due to a brain stroke while in the ICU, there were reports that his health had improved, but all that turned out to be a hoax. His health gradually deteriorated. Ten days ago, when he opened his eyes for one day, there was a hope that he would sit again, but this hope did not materialize.

After battling death for 42 consecutive days, Srivastava finally lost his body. He passed away on Wednesday. Doctors say that Raju's heart was already very weak as he underwent angioplasty thrice in 10 years.

Raju Srivastava underwent angioplasty for the first time 10 years ago at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai and seven years ago he underwent angioplasty again at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. On August 10, after he fell in the gym, he underwent angioplasty for the third time due to which his body system was weakened, so he could not survive. Doctors were also thinking of bypass surgery, but as the condition of the heart was not good, the option of bypass surgery could not be tried.

People are shocked by the death of Raju Srivastava as Raju was only 58 years old. Considering the progress made by medical science, this age of death is not called. Raju Srivastava made people laugh with his comedy. Because of that people loved him very much. Lako did not realize that this man who makes people laugh is getting weak. Even after he suddenly suffered a heart attack, people believed that Raju would recover, but that was not the case.

Raju gave comedy a new height in India. Breaking the belief that comedy means parody of film actors, it created a new chill. Raju had a great ability to create laughter by observing Indian characters and characteristics of Indians. People would instantly connect with Raju because of his relatable characters. His characters, including Gajodhar Bhaiya, were considered one of their own.

Originally an actor, Raju was a step ahead of other comedians. Raju would make people laugh by vividly portraying common Indian habits, including the gnashing of teeth. Experimenting with the dialects of different regions of North India was also a specialty of Raju. Because of this people thought Raju as one of them. Raju Srivastava started his career doing comedy shows but later moved to Mumbai to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. Did not get much success as an actor in Mumbai. Raju played small roles in Tezaab in 1988, which made Anil Kapoor a superstar, and in Salman Khan's first superhit film Main Pyaar Kiya. Raju was also in Baazigar which established Shah Rukh as a superstar. Raju did small roles in films like this for five years, but later felt that this would not work, so he concentrated on comedy. There were not many stand up comedians in India at that time. Raju started parodying Amitabh Bachchan and developed his own unique style in North Indian language. Amitabh Raju flourished and became a comedian. After that, Raju did small roles in films, but the main work was that of a comedian.

Raju got fame in Mumbai and North India but the whole country did not know him. Raju became known across the country due to The Great Indian Laughter Challenge show in 2005. Navjot Sidhu and Shekhar Suman were the judges of this show. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan also participated in the show along with Raju. Raju spread across the country through this show. Then people came to know about Raju's tremendous talent. People came to know that there is such a great comedian in India.

People were so fond of Raju's comedy that people thought that Raju would win the show. When the results were announced, Sunil Pal was declared the winner while Ahsan Qureshi was the first runner-up. Raju Srivastava became the second runner up. Regular viewers of the show were outraged by the result. People were angry with Raju to the extent that they were outraged that the channel that was broadcasting the show had given wrong results by using their phones.

However, Raju Srivastava showed sportsmanship and praised the comedians including Sunil Pal. He has also done shows and films with other comedians, also appeared in the shows of other comedians like Kapil Sharma. This is the reason why people are shocked by the demise of Raju Srivastava, who behaved only in a comedy manner without any malice.

Raju Srivastava was a comedian of the digital age so we can enjoy his comedy on platforms including YouTube. Of course, it will be a pity not to see Raju live again, not to enjoy his comedy.

For Raju, Amitabh was a breadwinner, an ideal

In the last days of Raju Srivastava, an incident happened in the movies. When Raju admitted to the hospital was not responding, the doctor said that even though Raju does not respond to your words, he hears the surrounding sound. If they hear a voice or talk in a loved one's situation, the brain will be more active and healing will be easier.

Raju considered Amitabh Bachchan as an idol. He believed himself to be his breadwinner as he gained fame by imitating his voice. When Raju's family called Amitabh's office and informed about Raju's bad health, it came to know that Bachchan had been sending messages to Raju wishing him recovery on the phone every day since he was admitted. There were 10 unread messages of Amitabh on the phone. While reading Amitabh's message, Raju's body began to stir.

Within five minutes of Raju's family requesting Bachchan to send an audio message, Amitabh sent an audio message. Bachchan told Raju that, Raju get up, it's enough. Get up soon, sab ko bahot hansana hai, abhi bahot kam karana hai.

From this audio message, the body began to convulse, but the brain was not affected as it was more damaged.

Threatened by Dawood, Raju did not enter politics

Raju Srivastava was not afraid to take a spin on anyone in his show. Because of this, Raju Srivastava also received a threat from Dawood Ibrahim. Raju Srivastava parodied leaders including Lalu Prasad Yadav in his presence. Lalu himself enjoyed it but Dawood could not show such sportsmanship.

Raju Srivastava used to make fun of Dawood and his gang members in his show. He used to pull Pakistanis as well. Tired of it, Dawood called from Pakistan in 2010 and threatened not to do his comedy again. Undaunted, Raju continued to follow Dawood.

The interesting thing about Raju Srivastava is that he decided to enter politics and took a step back. In 2014, Akhilesh's Samajwadi Party gave ticket to Raju from Kanpur seat. Raju had announced his candidature but a week later resigned from the Samajwadi Party and announced to join the BJP.
